Jen Decker yawned and stretched across her bed.
Or, more properly, the bed she used to share with her deceased husband Jeff, but even after enjoying a pleasurable self induced orgasm while thinking about her new friend Claire Jacobs, she couldn't fall asleep to take that nap Jen wanted to, even if it was a matter of life and death.
Instead, the werecat got up and walked over to the dresser mirror.
She turned this way and that, admiring her shapely curves and how her fur pattern looked at certain angles.
Jen's tail swished in time with her movements, but her body and her mind were not totally at peace right now.
It's been months since Jeff was killed. I moved Tad and myself back here to find some peace and start over, but I never expected to find love again, let alone with a sister werecat I helped create, she thought, thinking about how Claire practically begged to be inducted into were society at the Halloween party last night because she longed to be a cat.
Is it right to feel this way? Jeff never minded my bi nature. While there never were that many weres in the military, we shared plenty of the ladies I beded throughout our lives together, even before tying the knot and Jeff enlisting. But now...
And then Jen paused to stare at herself in the mirror, the reflection of the empty bed behind her.
Jeff was always there for me. Always faithful. He's been the only man in my life, and despite some of our sexcapades, the military was his only "mistress". I haven't "flown solo" since the Twists' impromptu "Welcome Back To Moon Lake" pride meeting, although Frances and Samantha still taste as great as I remember. And that new lady Martha Anderson was a yummy treat too, thought Jen, as a smile crossed her muzzle.
Yet those instances were just sex, and Jeff wouldn't of had any problem with that. But now... realized Jen, as she grabbed a hair brush and moved back to sit on the edge of the bed.
Am I ready to move on? Should I move on? Or is what I'm feeling right now toward Claire just pride in my "new creation"? Claire is the first woman I've ever inducted into were society. I guess time will tell... she realized, as Jen started brushing out her tail.
But Claire was pretty good once she became furry and got the hang of female on female sex, Jen happily recalled, as another smile crossed her muzzle.
MEANWHILE...
Frances Twist had ran back to her house just long enough to change into something more than a bathrobe and grab her purse and cellphone.
Everything going on next door with the police stand off against whoever lived there was bad enough, but the emotional and physical trauma of the event had set off labor in the man's pregnant wife three weeks before her projected due date.
Pausing on her front porch to hurriedly lock the door, Frances ran back to where the lady was crouched on the ground and a paramedic was shouting a request for an additional ambulance.
"What's your name?" she asked the lady, while kneeling to be closer to her.
"Jade Drake," was the reply between gasps.
"Okay ma'am," began the paramedic, "I've timed your contractions at roughly 3 minutes apart, so we'll make it to the emergency room of Moon Lake General Hospital in plenty of time to usher your new baby into the world properly. But I have to ask, are you a werekomodo dragon too?"
Doctor Twist looked at both patient and paramedic, for this species of were was definitely a new one to her.
"Yes," replied Jade, trying to get her breathing under control.
"Okay sweetie, just breathe and relax until your next contraction. By the way, I'm Doctor Frances Twist. I live next door," she said, gently grabbing the lady's right hand.
"I've seen you around since we moved in, but my husband said we had to keep a low profile, so I never properly introduced myself," explained Jade.
"That's okay. We have plenty of time to get to know each other better on the way to the hospital," replied Frances, as she heard the distant siren heralding the arrival of another ambulance grow louder.
ELSWHERE...
Claire Jacobs lost count.
Then again, she didn't really care how many, just how wonderful and intense each orgasm she gave herself was.
Self induced pleasure wasn't a new experience.
Becoming a werecat, let alone embracing lesbianism in the process, was.
The feeling of her paws caressing her new fur coat, let alone running across her sleeker and more ample curves, petting her tail, fondling her now bigger bosom and exploring the new depths of a feline vagina...
I should have convinced someone to transform me sooner. But then I wouldn't have met Jen, she realized.
Is it just my new lifestyle and form, or is there the real possibility of something special developing between us? wondered Claire, even as she began to play with herself again.
I know what I'd like it to be, but I wish I knew for sure, thought Claire, even as she felt her body shudder in pleasure.
Is it too soon to ask Jen out on a date? Or should she be the one asking me? Well, no one ever said solving the mysteries of life would be easy, but it's certainly going to be fun finding out, thought Claire, as she enjoyed another orgasm.
MEANWHILE...
"Sorry we're shorthanded at the moment. Do you have the other end Doctor Twist?" asked the paramedic.
"Yes," replied Frances, before helping him load the gurney with Jade Drake into the ambulance.
"D-Dymixious!" yelled Jade, as she felt another contraction make itself known.
"Your husband is going to be all right ma'am," said the paramedic, even as the look he gave Doctor Twist revealed that the man didn't know for sure whether or not that was actually true.
"Why is this happening now? The baby's early and the nursery isn't even ready yet," complained Jade Drake.
"Who knows? Life and babies move in mysterious ways. But don't you worry none. My job's to take care of both the best I can and I happen to be great at my job," replied the paramedic, as he hooked his patient up to monitoring equipment inside the ambulance.
"Okay. I'm going to ride with you to the hospital as I promised, and together we'll usher your new baby into the world," said Frances, as cheerfully and as calmly as she could. "But is there anyone you'd like us to notify about the impending birth?"
"My husband.... He had me memorize two phone numbers, in case of emergency while we were here in Moon Lake..." answered Jade, while trying to get her breathing back under control.
"She's still hyper from witnessing the altercation with the police, but I don't dare give her any kind of sedative right now with the contractions so short," the paramedic advised Doctor Twist.
"What are they?" Frances asked, while reaching for her cellphone to program the numbers into its memory.
Jade Drake recited the numbers, and then moaned as if having another contraction, despite the fact it was too soon since the last one.
"That baby's hell bent and determined to debut today," the paramedic commented, before yelling at the driver, "Step on it! This is a rush job!"
As Frances programmed the numbers into her phone, she was puzzled.
One was totally unknown to her. (This would be the covert emergency contact number for Dymixious' father, but neither lady knew that.)
The other was already in the memory of Frances' phone, for it was the private contact number for Tachibana no Akane!
Realizing there were more pressing matters than solving the mystery of why Jade Drake had Tachibana's number, Frances put the phone back in her purse and held the lady's hand as the ambulance took off for the hospital.
