You put your hand over your eyes to dheild them from the sun light haze as the light begins take on a red color. Soon, it becomes more defined, standing out against the white mist. Finally, the last of the clouds haze is lifted, and you see a large red dragon walking on all fours towards you. It's long neck and head seem to be swaying as it walks, as if it's humming some sort of melody that only it can hear. Judging by it's height and size, it could easily squash you like a bug.
You almost, without thinking, dive into a cloud nearby, but stop yourself immidietley when you realize that you don't know how wide the path you're on is or where it ends. If you had to admit it to yourself, you'd rather face this giant dragon rather than plummet a half-mile to your death. Faced with no other option, you can only stand there and either call out or wait until the dragon notices you.
That desicion is quickly taken out of your hands when the dragon suddenly turns it's head and looks at you. It does a double take, as if not expecting to meet anyone up here, before angrily yelling, "WHO ARE YOU?"
You stammer, bringing your hands up in front of you. "Well...you see, sir,..." you begin.
"MADAM." it corrects you. Looking closer, you indeed see that the dragon has somewhat of a feminine appearance. You nod and continue. Well, madam, I was just down below there..." You say, pointing towards the ground, "...and I found this ladder on top of a shack, which I climbed and it led me...up here." You say, hoping that you don't sound crazy. But considering the circumstances you're in, it's hard not to.
The dragon cocks her head and and blows smoke out of her nostrils. "I see...and who gave you authorization to build such a ladder and come up to my kingdom? Because I certainly did not."
"Oh no, no madam, you see, the ladder was already there, and I just climed it because I was curious." You say, horrified that this conversation is going from bad to worse. "And you thought you could just climb on up here and disturb my morning walk?" She cries, stepping towards you. She towers twenty feet above you, your whole body barely the size of her front paw. "I didn't mean to disturb you!" You cry, taking a step back and almost losing your footing on the path.
The dragon sighs. "Well, I cannot just let you go, you've seen too much already..." She says. "What should be done, what should be done..."
