It is late Halloween night 2015 to those living in the Moon Lake of what they do not know has been designated as Earth 1 by others.
The first rays of dawn to herald the new day to be called November 1 is still hours away.
At this point, whether a normal human being or were, most are now at least snuggled for a good night’s sleep, if not with the one they love as well.
“Exercise time!” announced the tough prison guard, as she unlocked the cell door.
The blonde haired woman looked up from her cot and said, “About time.”
Without another word between them, the guard escorted the prisoner through the jail to a special, indoor swimming pool in the rear of the building.
Once there, the prisoner wasted no time to completely strip off what she thought was a tacky and unbecoming prison uniform before jumping into the pool, relishing in the fact that she was within her element once more, even as goldfish toned scales started appearing on legs that were fusing together to form a mermaid’s tail.
Julie Stovall awoke with a start.
Her heart was beating rapidly within her chest, and the were-mermaid was finding it a bit difficult to breathe, even underwater.
Calm down. It wasn’t real.
Then she paused to get her bearings.
