It's a wonderful day out. The sun shines brightly overhead and a gentle breeze is blowing through the branches of the trees. You sigh contentedly and sit down on a nearby bench.
You open your phone and play a few games for a while before you hear rocks crunching under feet. Quickly putting your phone away, you see someone far off in the distance, but due to the sunlight blocking your vision, you can't make out any details. The person raises an arm as if waving and starts walking towards you.
You can't do anything but wait for the person to arrive, so you sit back down on the bench, lean your head back, and close your eyes. A few seconds later, you hear some snapping twigs and turn to see the person that waved to you heading into the trees beside the path.
This strikes you as odd, but not anything worth getting worked up over.
You suddenly hear more twigs snapping, but this time they're directly behind you. A prickle of fear hits you, but still, there's nothing you can really see that puts you in any sort of danger.
Just then, something breaks through the trees directly behind you. You sit a still as you can, trying not to attract attention to yourself, but are unable to as you feel something clamp down on your shoulder. You are turned around roughly, bringing you face to face with the the thing.
