"[Name]?" Lyle says again. This time you respond. You can't avoid this. "Yes," you say quietly, "what is it?" Lyle seems to consider your response for a second. The silence is uncomfortable. Does he know what you did? It seems impossible, but... "Are you well in there? All... ahem... normal?" This surprises you a little. Lyle has noticed his changes, but he assumes you've changed as well. You decide to open the door.
When you pull the wooden barrier back, you see Lyle. Really see him. Before, it was easy to dismiss him because of his antisocial behavior and pock-ridden face, but he looks like a different person somehow. Still not handsome, but much more appealing. His bright ginger hair is still very noticeable, clashing in contrast with your former skin tone. It gives his fiery hair an unreal, dyed feel; almost a Bowie feel (when his hair was orange). Lyle seems to drink your appearance in, too. But his eyes, seeming cartoonish behind the thick lenses of his glasses, don't betray any surprise or emotion. "I thought so." Lyle says, still quiet. He walks in, his manner still polite, and shuts the door behind him quietly. "Paul fell asleep almost as soon as you went to the bathroom. He was on his 4th beer as you entered earlier." This is the most you've ever heard Lyle say, but you nod, allowing him to continue. He seems to be in control of this situation somehow, and you're at a loss for words.
Lyle looks up at you, his short stature (5'4") making you feel tall at your below-average 5'8". Then his eyes travel downwards and catch on the plastic ring on your finger. Maybe he is noticing its strange jewel, which is quite apparently more precious than the plastic band suggests. "I apologize for my assumption, but did that ring cause this? It looks quite odd, and I don't recall you ever wearing it before." You feel stupid all over for leaving your magic treasure on your finger. But then, you realize that this might be your chance to fix things. You nod, and finally manage to speak again. "Yes... yes, this ring made this happen. Switched our skin and our... um..." You feel a bit embarrassed. Up till now, you weren't sure Lyle had noticed any changes to his nether regions, but one look at his blushing face and suddenly distant gaze tells you he is well aware. You move past the awkward moment and continue. "But you can fix this." You're not sure you should trust Lyle, but something is telling you that maybe, just maybe, you can.
You explain how the ring works, and decide to flip your story a little to protect yourself. You don't want to sound cruel. It was no secret Paul had a decently large penis (he made sure to tell everyone when he was drunk) so you claim you were trying to switch THAT when this mistake occurred. Lyle doesn't seem to question this, to your relief. As you finish, you get to your point. "So maybe, could you switch things back between us? This isn't right, Lyle. We need to put things back to normal." Lyle nods, thinking. "You think I might be able to use the ring immediately. That the limits of the magic are based on individual use." You nod, and wait for an answer. Lyle agrees, and you go to hand over the ring. You're still not totally sure this is safe, but this is certainly the fastest way you can get back to normal. You're not sure what Lyle will switch back first, but you're eager lose both your tiny dick and your unsightly complexion.
Lyle closes his eyes, kisses the ring, and then...
