With your new purchase in hand, you decide to head back home to decide your next move. With both your rings at your disposal, the possibilities seem endless! The walk over was fine, but you decide you would rather call a taxi to bring you back home. Pulling your phone out of your pocket, you dial the local cab company. You walk to the nearest corner, not wanting to reveal the location of the magic shop to anyone else, and wait there for your driver.
A few minutes later, a silver car pulls up. The backlit sign stuck to the roof proudly displays the name of the cab company. Eagerly anticipating your arrival home, you hop into the car. It's a little hard to get your seatbelt on with your huge, cumbersome arm, but you eventually manage. The driver of the car stares forward, waiting for you to settle in.
A sun bleached permit is displayed through discolored plastic at the front, telling you your driver's name is Kadir. He is a very hefty man, probably well over 250 pounds. Understandable, you think, considering how many hours a day he probably has to spend sitting. Kadir's skin is fairly light, but has undertones of brown. He looks like he might be Iraqi, maybe Turkish? As you look at his skin, you notice he is perspiring a little. Beads of sweat are rolling down his round face. Your driver has the air conditioning blasting, and his button-up shirt's top 2 buttons are undone, displaying a dense rug of chest hair. A generous sprinkling of short black lines continue up the man's neck, past his double chin, and encroach on his circular face. The hair on his head looks thick too, you think, and maybe that would be a good way to test out your averaging ring. You're definitely tired of this baldness, you think, resting a hand on your smooth crown. You notice the man has a little gray coming up his temples, and subtle wrinkles on his face. You think he is probably in his early 50s. "Hello sir," Kadir says. You're not surprised to hear his enunciation is obscured by a thick accent whose origins you can't quite place. The large man taps the meter and starts it. "We going now, OK?"
The man begins to drive the relatively short distance. He speaks to dispatch a little in a foreign tongue. You stare at the two rings on your finger. It might be a good idea to test one here; after all, if everyone you personally know starts changing, eventually people will realize you're the cause. Maybe it would be a good idea to test things out with someone random? It would probably be bad idea to use your swapping ring; you don't want to end up obese or old. But there's always the averaging ring...
Your drive isn't going to be too long, so you should decide quickly.
