Deciding to take double task, you continue down the path while looking out for the horse the girl described.
Some time passes as you walk, when your stomach grumbles, reminding you that you haven't had lunch yet. Looking around, you sigh when not a single sign of an eatery or even a food stand was in sight. That's when you remembered you had the oat balls she gave you. Taking them out of your now regretfully sticky pockets, you look at them, thinking about how you were going to feed them to a horse.
But the more you look at them, the more tasty looking they appeared, the oats being neatly stuck together by honey coating in and outside them. You lick your lips, even causing a little drool to drip from them. Sure, they were meant for horses, but humans can probably eat them, too. It shouldn't be any different from a plain granola bar or dry oatmeal, right?
"There's probably no harm in trying them, I guess" you convince yourself, taking one of them in your other hand and popping them into your mouth.
Surprisingly, the sweet taste of the honey and oats was much more delightful on your tongue than you predicted. "Wow! I can't believe this is way better than any nature bar I've ever had!" Wanting to sate your hunger and forgetting about the oat balls' purpose, you pop another one into your mouth.
It was so delicious, you don't notice your body starting to strain a bit against your clothes, ripping a few areas at the seams, but not enough to tear your clothes apart the more mass you gain.
After a while of snacking, you don't realize that you began to eat them straight out of your hand, unaware you were trying to grab them with your lips before taking them into your mouth.
In no time, you realize you ended up eating all of the oat balls, a bit sad that you had no more. Not so much as you didn't have anymore to attract the girl's runaway horse, but because you didn't have any more to eat.
As you continued your walk, you decided that it might be a nice break to walk into the thick of the trees where the girl had gone back to, thinking it might make it easier to find the horse and enjoy nature at the same time.
Going deeper into the woods, that's when you come across...
