As Ty and Dustin observed the mirrors, wondering how many different forms they could take by simply touching the glass, they heard a squeaking from behind them. As they looked back down the dark corridor, they saw the door--the one that brought them here from their own hallway and their own home--closing.
The two rushed back down the corridor, trying to reach the door as quickly as possible, for they did not know what would happen if they did not get back out. But, despite getting all the way down the corridor in record time, and reaching the door just as the last glimmer of light shone from the hallway, they tried the doorknob at the exact moment that the door closed--and apparently locked itself. Not only that, but the light from underneath the door was fading--could their home be fading away, too?
Ty stepped back in shock at the fading light as Dustin frantically tried the doorknob over and over. Then, Ty felt something against the back of legs; when he turned, he saw a small table that certainly had not been there before. On the table was a key--it was a fancy key, like the kind you see in rich homes or movies. As Ty informed Dustin, the two began to wonder--could this key unlock the door? There was only one way to find out.
Ty slipped the key into the keyhole--it fit and turned perfectly. As the key turned, a light faded in from under the door. Something was on the other side, but what?
The boys took a deep breath as Dustin opened the door...
