Paige still felt a little disoriented as she entered her room. She didn't remember walking to her bedroom door. One minute she was opening the front door and the next she was standing in front of her room. But she did have a rough day at school so she wasn't too worried about a little brain fart.
Paige sighed as she collapsed on her bed and kicked off her shoes. She grabbed her 'wish stone' and began to gently rub it. The gift from her father always seemed to comfort her. And she needed some support today.
Just like every day, she was ignored by all the cute boys. They always went for the short girls. At 5'7" she wasn't too big for a girl by most standards. Okay, maybe 5'8" with her sneakers on. But it really didn't matter. The boys just seemed to adore the small, petite girls. The smaller the better. And the taller the boy, the smaller the girl he seemed to like. It just wasn't fair. Her life would be perfect if she was just a little shorter.
Paige held up her magic stone to her face, looking closely at it.
"Oh, magic stone, please grant me my wish. I wish that I was smaller and more petite - not a lot shorter, just a little bit," said Paige.
For just a second she thought the stone felt a little warmer in her hands. But she knew it was just her imagination. Her wishes never came true. They were just the idle hopes of a sad teenage girl. She causally tossed the stone over her shoulder and buried her head in her sheets.
Gabe quickly snatched the stone as it rolled by the closet. His sister's wish was perfect. She was always teasing him about his height. Now she would get a taste of her own medicine, growing ridiculously tall and being teased mercilessly. But he didn't want it to happen too quickly. Gabe wanted to savor his revenge. He could already see her calves slowly stretching past the cuffs of her jeans.
"I wish that Paige's growth would occur very quickly at first, then gradually slow down over the next 24 hours," said Gabe.
Gabe saw Paige's growth immediately slow to a crawl, exactly the opposite of what he had wished. It was slow, almost imperceptible, but he could tell she was still growing. And everyone else would notice tomorrow when she suddenly started to rapidly grow at school tomorrow. Gabe couldn't control himself and started to laugh.
The closet door opened and Paige glared down at him.
"What are you doing in here, you little creep!? Trying to sneak a peak at your sister? You are such a perv! Get out of here!" said Paige as she roughly grabbed him by his shirt and pulled him to his feet. Then she gave him a rough boot to his ass and sent him tumbling towards her bedroom door. Paige ran after him.
"Wait! What are you doing with that? It's mine!" said Paige as she grabbed the stone out of his hand.
The sound of her pants tearing distracted Paige.
"Dammit! Look what you made me do! And those were my favorite jeans! Just get out of here," said Paige as she turned to assess the damage.
Paige couldn't understand what happened to her pants. They fit fine this morning. Sure, they felt a little tight when she got home, but not enough to rip. Was she getting fat or maybe just bloated? That was all she needed.
Gabe chuckled as he left the room. He knew that wasn't the only set of clothes that would be outgrown over the next 24 hours. He couldn't wait to see how Paige reacted when she grew out of the next one.
