"What the fuck?'
Dark Isaac was back in the black void from whence he was born. But it was different. There is blur of colors flying all over the place. It feels like everything is out of his control. Everything felt chaotic. And the worse part is that he can't stop it.
"Don't bother. We are spiritually unconscious. There is nothing we can do about the freed souls right now." A unknown voice said.
Dark Isaac looked around frantically, but he can't seem to find the source of the voice.
"Over here."
Dark Isaac turned to see a figure barley visible in the darkness. He could make out some features though.
Whatever it was, it had steely armor that seems to suck the light around it.
As the figure got closer, Dark Isaac could make out its face. Or rather... his face.
He was a human man wearing a a set of armor that looked similar to the possessed armor when Isaac first found it.
"WHO THE HELL ARE YOU!!!" Dark Isaac screamed. He readied a mental sword. Is the mysterious stranger trying to take control away from him?
The armored warrior seems exasperated. "I'm in the same situation you are. Why would I try to take you over when you and I are the same soul?"
That stopped Dark Isaac in his tracks.
"What." Dark Isaac's tone implies he will kill unknown man if he doesn't give him a good answer.
The armored figure gave out a annoyed sigh. "You are not sure of were you came from, right?"
Dark Isaac blinked in surprise. That may not be a answer, but it implies that this stranger knows more then he thought.
"Yes..." Dark Isaac's answer came in a steady tone.
"Well, you see.. you are half of Isaac's soul... and I filled in the empty void in your soul. I am the soul of the possessed armor you plundered."
Dark Isaac was shocked. "W-what are you implying?!"
"We filled each other's emptiness to make a whole. You recall the black and red soul in your body's head? I am the black half and you are the red half." The armored human explained.
"W-what! How did this come about?!" Dark Isaac pressed.
The armored figure shook his head. "We are speaking on borrowed time. You are spiritually unconscious, allowing you to speak to me. I'll explain how Isaac's soul was split in half later. I'm-"
Dark Isaac was growing impatient. "Don't give me that crap! I don't care who you are. Just tell me what I want to know!"
The shadowy figure just shook his head in annoyance, "As I was saying, My name is Ederic, and I am the first Dark Knight."
Dark Isaac blinked in surprise. Come to think about it, his armor bears a striking resemblance to the Dark Knights from the history books. But the Dark Knights were eventually disbanded by a splinter group who eventually became the Paladins. Paladins dedicate themselves to purifying corruption. Dark Knights dedicated themselves to harnessing the power of corruption for their own gain. Ever since Dark Isaac realized the advantage to wielding corruption, he strived to revive the Dark Knight's legacy. And here he was disrespecting the father of Dark Knights himself, Ederic! To think he is talking to the father of dark knighthood himself!
As if Ederic was reading Dark Isaac's thoughts, he responded.
"The father of dark Knighthood... To think I could get such a glorious title after my death... I'll let you in on a secret. I died in the armor you are wearing now. And over the many centuries, I forgot what it was like to be human. All I knew was to be a forgotten piece of metal. The only thing I could do was control others. I remember taking over whoever was foolish enough to wear me, but I was always taken off and forgotten either through the death of my wearer or the wearer forcing me off. When ever I take over someone, a sliver of their soul becomes a part of me. Eventually, that added up and my sense of identity was eventually lost. I also vaguely recall some people examining me and writing in books, but they never got close enough for me to take them over. Yet, when you came along, you filled in the void that I desired to be refilled. A new body. The ability to breath. But most of all, you reminded me how to be human. It took awhile, but you helped me remember who I was. You helped me regain my identity. And in return, I help you from decaying." Ederic explained.
"Decaying?!" Dark Isaac exclaimed.
"Yes. A small sliver can be taken from a soul it no long lasting damage would be done. But when at least more then half of the soul is taken, the remaining half can't exist on it's own. It will eventually disappear from existence without going to heaven or hell. being erased from existence is a fate worse then death. So my black soul filled in your void in order to be complete." Ederic informed.
Dark Isaac could hear noises from outside.
"I'm running out of time. Here is memory of mine that I wish to share with you."
Ederic waved his hand and suddenly a memory overtook Dark Isaac...
