seem a little more advanced in this version)
"Let me go this instant young lady" roared the enraged mountain dragon
and I hastily unclamped my teeth from her furiously
swishing tail
"Do I know you young lady" she chuffed s she glowered down at me
with fury in her eyes that was the various opposite of the look
of sorrowful apology I'm sure was in my eyes
Did she know me? Truthfully I didn't know as 11 years earlier when she would have seen me
I was barely out of my egg.
However my older sister Icicle would have known her and
I called the mountain dragoness by the name my
sister and parents knew her by
"Aunt Emily Parker?" I squawked at her and
that rapidly expanding chest of hers that signified a awfully hot burst of fire soon
began to subside
She squinted as she looked at me in confusion
"You have the colouration of Icicle and the lay of your horns and your wing veining makes it obvious your one
of Prince Glacier and Lady Fissures children but Icicle would be older and bigger now"
Then the dawn of realization entered her eyes and she said
questioningly
"Little baby Snowy?" she asked me
and I nodded my head affirmatively
She was Emily Parker,the greatest dragon sleuth of them all and
eleven years earlier she had kept my dad
Prince Glacier from being executed for a crime he was accused of by
the democratic loving Fire Dragons
the assassination of their Protector by ice breath.
The thing about we dragons is that because we are magical creatures it is possible
for us to shift from one species to another with enough magic
and a fury in our souls.
Eleven years earlier,Aunt Emily had figured out that only two dragons
had the motive to murder the Protector
my father Prince Glacier
and the Protectors younger sister,a fire dragon,a fire breather
named Charna.
However since the Protector had been murdered by a blast of icy breat,and Charna seemed incapable of that feat,(she'd been found crouched and crying over her
brothers frozen corpse)that had made my dad suspect number one.
Yet Aunt Emily had suspected that Charna had somehow worked herself into a fury somehow,
taken a potion and turned herself into a ice breather.
She would then tiptoed with those new powers into the Protctors chamber,murdered him
with her ice breath
then somehow cooled the hatred and reverted back to her own species
in time to be caught bawling away over her brothers frozen corpse.
Aunt Emily Parker had done her sleuthing and discovered that months earlier Charna had
begun dabbling in
animal mesmerism,otherwise known as hypnotism.
So the Great Dragon Sleuth had surmised that Charna had planted a hypnotic suggestion in her
own mind
that when the clock in her brothers office chimed
eleven times,the ice dragoness she'd turned herself into would think peaceful
thoughts and change back into sweet giggling slender firebreathing
Charna
However that meant Charna had to have turned herself into this
icy monster before in order to make sure
it would all work.
Which meant Charna,if she were the murderor,still had
the species transforming potion in her bloodstream.
So Aunt Emily Parker had started her cross examination in the court room
gently stoking up the fires of fury in Charna's soul.
If Charna were innocent,there'd be nothing happening.
But if she was the killer,the potion in her blood would be re-activated.
And so a furious Charna had begun trembling in the seat as she found it impossible to quench the fury
in her soul.
As the horrified onlookers had watched,Charna began to grow,more befitting in size
of a ice dragon
her black and golden scales had melted awy as her icy blue scales
had swept over her .
Where Charna the fire breather had giggled now glowered a
much bigger ice dragoness.
For a few tense seconds everyone though Charna
would breath her icy cold breath
apon Aunt Emily Parker
But instead the ice breather had swung her head and breathed icy death
pon her mother,who had st behind her daughter.
Court had broken up in confusion as the other drgons
realized Chrn now had the power
to kill them all,just like
she hd her brother and mother.
However,the only dragon in the Court immune to Charna's
deadly breath,my father,a ice draagon
himself
had sprung out of the prisoner box and pinned Charna
down on the floor with his manacles.
The clock that had allowed her to revert back with that
11 chime hypnotic suggestion
had been evidence in the trial
and had been destroyed in the confusion.
Charna was doomed to spend the rest of her life as a ice dragon.
