As April stepped out of the trailer into the sunlight, a change came over her. She felt an electric tingle from the collar, and felt a strong desire to get on her hands and knees. She had no memory of where she was or what had just happened to her. She crouched down to her hands and knees and began to crawl around. She felt very happy, and started to pur.
Meanwhile:
Andy had come to at the back of the Face Paint O'Matic trailer. He stood up groggily and stretched out. He vaguely remembered that he and April had come to the carnival, and that he was back here to wait for her. As he watched the rear door, he saw a girl exit through the door, drop down to the ground and start crawling toward him. He stood, mesmerized watching her; the girl was painted like a pink cat from head to toe. "Who could that be?" he wondered. As she crawled toward him, she began to pur. The girl looked up from the ground at Andy. As Andy recognized her, he froze in shock. The face looking up at him belonged to April! "April!" he exclaimed. "What happened to you?"
"Meow, rowww, purrrrr" was the only response he got. April rubbed against his legs and purred even louder.
"April, answer me! I know you're in there!" he said, even louder.
April continued purring; she kneeled at his feet and began pawing his legs with her hands.
"I've got to find a way to help her," thought Andy. He turned and started walking toward the back of the trailer.
