On Christmas Morning, everyone around the world recieved what was arguably the best present ever: everyone older than five years old, became five again!
Their clothes shrank with them, and everything from buildings to vehicles became just the right size for anyone five or younger.
What's more, was that the the kids of the world.......who would be everyone at this point........found that they had the power to wish for things and make them come true. However, since they were turned into kids, the wishes they made weren't anything bad like ruling the world. These kids' hearts became cleansed of all the negativity of their adult lives, and wished for purely childish things that didn't do any harm.
Since everyone was a kid, no one felt odd about being one, so everyone wished that they could stay as kids forever, and never have to grow up again.
All fighing and wars came to an end, since the kids no longer had the hardened hearts of adults, and since all weapons had been turned into harmless toys anyway.
Everyone kept their memories and intelligence, but were more innocent like the kids they had become. Everyone who was already five or younger gained intelligence and understanding to match everyone else so that all were equal in terms of mental capacity - even newborn babies were able to talk and hold intelligent conversations, and they were happy to be born into such a happy and wonderous world where this was possible.
This not only affected humans, but also animals, turning them into intelligent anthro kids of only five years of age. They also wished to stay five too.
If a woman was pregnant, then she'd wake up as a five year old girl with her baby already knowing how to talk like the rest. None of these babies needed to be breast-fed, which was a nice added bonus.
As if all this wasn't enough, creatures that were long extinct like dinosaurs or mammoths also came back as five year old anthro kids, and every mythical creature that could be found in stories came to life as five year old kids too.
While there were some faun kids and centaur kids showing up in Greece for instance, there were also Yokai kids in Japan like Kappas, Kitsunes, and even Tsukumogami - inanimate obects that, in Japanese Myth, normally came to life after 100 years, but here they all became alive and five year old kids too.
This made Japan an especially lively place where kids were walking around with one-eyed umbrellas who were happy to be held, kids kicking soccer balls with child-like faces around who were happy to be played with, and even living rag dolls and teddy bears who loved to walk around and be with their young owners.
This became a world where make-belive became real, and kids could be whatever they wanted to be.
Sometimes kids wished to be furries, clowns, mimes, or even aliens. It was paradise on Earth.
