“Option 3 sounds the best,” Carrie answered, almost reluctantly, “But what are the conditions of payment? Surely it isn’t free.”
“Actually it is,” said the employee with a slight smile, “Is that your finel decision?”
“Yes.” John and Carrie repeated at the same time.

“Well that was only mostly frightening,” Carrie tryed to laugh though her new dog muzzled body.

After they had agreed, the employees had taken them to some sort of back room, obviously in the back of the center.
John had wondered if this was really a good idea after all.
Maybe this was all just a bad dream?
But no, after the transformation was complete, a full grown husky had stood before him. The employees repeated that anyone could see the husky or hear her bark, but only John himself would be able to understand Carrie.
‘At least now we can lead a mostly normal dog and owner life,’ John had thought to himself. He really didn’t want to stress the “ owner “ part.
But what else could he say if someone asked where the dog had come from and where his wife had went?
He decided that he would definitely have to come up with a back story.

“Um... we could go for a walk, just so you can get used to your new * ahem * husky body.
“I’m really not mad at you, John. Even if you think that.”
“Right right, let’s get going.”
Carrie tongue showed and her tail wagged. Yes she would definitely like this life as a dog much better than her last as a human! ...
