After hiking down the mountain much faster than they did hiking up with Issac’s new mobility, Ilvir separates from Issac and Mary. They would both continue to make their way north towards the Sky King’s Castle and the numerous villages there while Ilvir would travel in the opposite direction towards the southwest. According to Sagittarius's memories Nathan had mentioned he would head for some ruins called the Cloudpoint Citadel. The long abandoned city state that was once home to an empire of cloud folk before it was destroyed in some Great War with the cloud giants.
Although Ilvir could hardly care less about that. What he wanted was to please Issac and find Nathan, hopefully along the way his master would take care of the Mary issue as corrupt her while Ilvir was gone but that was Issac’s choice to make. The granite golem thought, moving through the damp underbrush of a cloud forest.
His only guide was Sagittarius’s own memories about the geography of the world, Ilvir estimated it would be a ten day journey to make it to Cloudpoint. Similarly it would take Issac fifteen days to reach the Sky King’s Castle.
Not enough time. Unless Nathan has some sort of fast travel, we wouldn’t be able to travel fast enough to aid Issac. Ilvir thought finding himself at the forest he was traveling through, leading into a plain.
In the distance he could make out atleast two villages. He could likely stop for supplies there but that would raise to many questions as to why a granite golem wearing hiking clothes and equipment was in the middle of a cloud village.
Instead, Ilvir skirted past the villages, using the plain’s long billowing white grass to conceal himself from the sight of any lookouts. It never hurt to be cautious. Especially when Ilvir was essentially in the territory of the Sky King, his enemy. He would keep traveling.
