Your name is Sam. You are actually new to AR video-games, but your best friend insists that you play this one with him. Given the critical acclaim it has massed in the short time since it's launch a few weeks ago, you are inclined to go along with him.
Your best friend's name is Sam, a nice boy, but he does get you into trouble more than not. You sometimes question why you always let him rope you into his messes.
The two of you go out to the local Game Store, the game and platform had been all but sold out everywhere, but luckily Sam's brother works there part time, and he was able to stash few for friends and family once it looked like they would hard to find. Of course you still had to pay out the nose for them, Sam's brother didn't want to lose his job for giving away two $1,000 systems.
You both go back to your house and take the shiny new AUG Xs out of the box, they look like normal sunglasses, you don't think that anyone would bat an eye if you ware these in public. They both come pre-loaded with a copy of Aeropia.
You both put the glasses on and hit the switch on the side, a pixelily light flashes as your room changes before your very eyes into a medieval setting, complete with stone walls and torch scones. All of the furniture are still in all the same places, but they are now their pre industrial equivalents. You are surprised to see that your computer has become a collection of floating stones inscribed with clearly magical runes. You take the glasses off and on again to compare the game world to the real one, and just to make absolutely sure that you are in fact still standing in your room.r
"Wow, that's amazing!" Sam says, you look at him, but don't actually see anything, their is a nameplate floating above where his head should be that reads 'new player'.
"Impressive, isn't it?" Booms a deep and powerful voice, you look to the source and see a strange man standing their, he is tall, and sports a flowing white beard. You take the glasses off just to be sure that he isn't standing in your real house. "My name is Xeuv, the king of the gods. I am here to welcome you two here, to the world of Aeropia!"
