Sera and Nat did their best to avoid any further attacks from the needle and slowly had both managed to get into a rhythm. Each time the needle striked, it would quickly disengage from Sera and Nat and take about two seconds to aim before lunging forward once more. Once it lunged, it seemingly had no way to change it’s direction so dodging it was easy. The only problem was that as it struck deep into the stone walls of the room, the walls would turn into cloth, making it more and more dangerous to use any destructive spells.
Nag and Sera were both able to dodge any further attacks but they were getting tired and the needle was seemingly unaffected by any spells launched it’s way.
“Got any plans Girle?” Sera asked, never taking her eyes off the needle for a second.
“Nothing at the moment!” Nat answered with fake enthusiasm, dodging out of the way as the needle raced towards her, piercing the stone wall and turning it into fabric.
“Well I’d rather not keep doing this forever, figure out something already, I got spells but none of them seem to work on this thing. It seems like it’s a powerful artifact but other than that I’m not sure.” Sera answered.
The needle took several seconds to aim before lunging towards Sera, who dodged it with little room to spare.
Crap. Our stamina won’t last forever, we need to do something now. Nat thought. Then an idea bloomed in her mind but she never got a chance to say it as suddenly from behind, she felt the sensation of something wrapping itself around Nat’a torso and lifting her up into the air.
Sera gasped as suddenly, a flicker of light occurred and holding Nat up was what appeared to be a serpentine dragon, about ten feet in length, levitating in the air. It’s body was adorned with emerald green metallic plates that seemed to shine even in darkness. It’s tail was constantly in motion and it took Sera only a second to realize that the serpent was the one controlling the needle, most likely through some sort of magic.
“You both are tiring me. You’re name is Sera right? Surrender now before I squeeze this girl into submission.” The dragon said in a deep monotone voice, stifling a yawn as it spoke.
“Who are you?” Sera asked, constantly alternating her vision between the dragon and the needle.
“I’m Cradle, a former adventurer who had gotten fucked by several snakes which turned me into the not so stunning beauty you see before you and later fell into this hell hole like you guys did. I’m pretty much obligated to defeat you guys using my magic needle, so surrender now and I’ll give you mercy and all that stuff.” Cradle yawned. His grip around Nat only tightened as she continued to struggle, her strength nothing compared to the floating serpent.
This is pretty fucking bad. Sera thought to herself. But now that the enemy has properly revealed himself, she had idea, hopefully if it works they might have a real chance.
