"Bucket o'nerds," you giggle as you put a lid on the bucket and grab the paint sprayer from the closet. You're about to help these science jerks develop a greater interest in athletics. Besides the locker room can do with a bit more color.
You easily carry the heavy bucket in one hand and the paint sprayer in the other. Apparently, your new latex body is getting stronger with every new recruit to you add to the latex legion. You enter the locker room, and glance at the clock. Hm, it's earlier or later than you thought? No. Where is everybody? You slap your head, as you remember. Of course, Academic Dean was meeting with the team. Some of the players were not making the grade, and a couple profs were refusing to pass them anyway. You smile down at your bucket of liquified nerds. Maybe if they get under some of the Neanderthals' skin on your team, grades will improve. You look at the dingy beige enamel colored lockers, and plug in the paint sprayer. You fill the sprayer with the orange goo, which seems to practically leap from the bucket into the sprayer. Not a single orange drop remains in the bucket. You begin spraying the outside of the lockers. You can feel the orange rubber oozing through the cracks to repaint the interior. You somehow know that at least some of the clothing inside the lockers is getting the liquid latex treatment too. The nerd boys from your neighboring house make a cheery addition to the locker room. You grin, as you stash the now empty bucket and sprayer in the janitor's closet. You get to the meeting just as it's breaking up.
"Oh, man, how am I supposed to practice, play football, and study math? Like I need to know what a + b equals anyway? The only numbers I need to know are 54. 40, and hike!" whined one of the players.
"Hike isn't a number, is it?" asked one of the line men.
You are silent and fall in with the other players.
Coach Green growls, "Okay, boys, you heard the dean. You gotta bring up your grades by next month, or some of you will be sidelined. Now hit the lockers and suit up!"
You smile to yourself. You and the coach will be happy with the results of your latex nerds adding to the team.
