After an uneventful day, Erica arrives with Don. They wait at the door when John open up for them.
"Hello, John, I hope your ready to get your ass beaten!"
"You always so competitive," John replied, "this is supposed to be a friendly match."
"Relax John, I mean nothing by it."
The four of them head to the living room which Jenn had prepped beforehand.
"So what game did you bring?" Jenn asked her guests.
"Nothing remarkable. Just a game of monopoly." Don answered. "How about you?"
"We got this strange game called 'The Game of Change,' its supposed to be magical."
"Really?"Erica piped in."That sounds cool, let's do yours then. How do we play Jenn?"
"We each take turns rolling this twenty sided die, the goal is to get to the end space which is 100 spaces away. We draw a colored card based on the space we land. And we presumably have to do what the card says."
"Well I'm sold, Sorry Dan,but this sounds interesting. Let's set it up."
They set up the board game on the table. Despite the almost featureless box it was in, the board was integrate with it's art and design. It had appeared to have lofecraftian inspiration as tendrils were drawn all over with vivid detail.
There were four kinds of spaces; red, blue, green, and black. All but black had a corresponding card.
Red cards were action cards, they only had tasks you were supposed to do. Supposedly at least as all the cards were blank.
Blue cards were body cards, they would change the body. These were blank as well.
Green cards were risk cards. You'd take some sort of risk through either a roll or bet. If you won, typically it means you either get a free roll or immunity to your next card. Failure would send you back or get double cards. These cards weren't blank.
Black spaces are were victim spaces. The person who landed on one gets to draw either a Red or blue card for either themselves or anyone else.
After setting up the game, the group decided the turn order. Jenn, John, Erica, then Dan.
Jenn goes first...
