The first thing Aziza noticed was the small golden dragon curled up at Regina's feet. "Who is that?" she asked.
"That's Sheena. I tried summoning a familiar, and she came from a different universe. She doesn't have any memory of it, though, just that it was different from this one." Regina leaned down to scratch between Sheena's ears and received a contented belch in response. "Sheena, this is my magical partner Aziza, the other Sorceress Supreme of this world."
"Hello, Aziza" said the dragon.
"Hello Sheena."
"I was noticing some anomalies in the borderland between our universe and the multiverse at large when I got this note from the goddess." She handed to it Aziza, who saw it written in Arabic whereas Regina had seen it in English. In either language, though, the meaning was the same. "Heads up, dearies! There's a demonic invasion coming--your first test as Sorceresses Supreme! I know you can handle it without my help, so I'll be off in another, inaccessible universe for a while. Love and kisses, my darlings! Innanna."
A demonic invasion. Suddenly Aziza regretted her wish for excitement.

Savannah sat at her makeup table. Her relationship with Katerina was still going strong after a year, defying the betting at both American Occ-ops and the Russian Occult Secret Service. It was pushing Savannah more and more to the femme side. She could spend an hour and a half getting made up, subscribed to several fashion magazines and websites, and visited the beauty parlor twice a week when she had the opportunity. Yet none of this made her any less a tough secret agent. Rather she thought of her beauty as a weapon. In the new world, standing out as a beautiful woman was difficult, yet somehow Savannah managed. Her abilities as a seductress were becoming legendary.

"So" said Katerina to her lover Savannah "Some idiot group of amateur occultists is trying to summon demons from alternate universes."
"Yeah, and?" asked Savannah.
"The reason why our superiors are interested, dahling, is that it looks like they may be succeeding."
