Animalian Divas for the Super Bowl

added by Alphagor 6 years ago O

Ever since their debuts, Sera and Ariel have gaining a lot of popularity in the pop music world. Canary Diamond's tour around the US was just as popular as Aqua Marina's tour around the Pacific islands. It wasn't just their sexy Animalian bodies that made them popular or their amazing singing voices. They were also involved with several charities and philanthropy projects. When they were actively participating, they were at least promoting them. The pair of them were a lot less susceptible to the controversy and scandal that pursued several other pop stars. The two singers basically had no sins to exploit.

Perhaps that was making them ebb a bit in the opinions of other. There were plenty of people who were more interesting in gossiping about celebrities' foibles than their successes. Canary Diamond and Aqua Marine were just too good for their taste and it was making them seem boring. While this was certainly not the kind of attention they wanted, it would eventually start to erode at their fame if they didn't keep promoting themselves.

Then a rather big business opportunity came. After they were finished with their tours, they thought they would have some time to rest before their next season started. But then received a visit from an NFL representative.

"The Super Bowl?" asked Sera.

"Isn't that a football game?" asked Ariel.

"Yes, but we're not expecting you to play the game," said the NFL representative, "You see, it's tradition for there to be a big Halftime Show during the Big Game. There have been a lot of pop stars who have performed for the Super Bowl and we would like you two to be this year's singers."

"Why us?" asked Sera, "There must be dozens of other singers who'd want to perform."

"Well, you two are brand-new and very popular right now," said the representative, "Not to mention Animalia is already featuring several commercials to play during the Super Bowl. You can't ask for better publicity than this."

"Well, it sounds good, but I'm still a bit beat from my last tour," said Ariel.

"Which is why we're asking a few weeks in advance," said the representative, "There's time to set up the show and rest before it."

"Well, at least we won't be doing a tour. Just one show," said Sera.

Their manager agreed this was a good opportunity. "Many artists would give their arm to sing at the Super Bowl. This could be one of the most defining shows of your career," he told them.

"I don't really get the big deal about football though," said Ariel.

"Well, that proves you were originally animals," said the manager, "But humans really like, especially American men. Trust me, you're not likely to be forgotten any time soon if you play the Super Bowl."

"I would think we were unforgettable now," said Sera.

"Well, as I've told you, fame is fickle. One day you could be on the top, the next you're being sidelined for a newer sensation and forgotten. You two have been doing a great job in maintaining publicity and keeping yourselves clean, but this will make sure you'll stay afloat for years," said the manager.

"Well, it sounds like it'll be fun," said Sera.

"I just hope I know what to sing," said Ariel.

"Don't worry. You'll have plenty of support for this," said the manager.
