Simon looked over at Bryan’s sleeping form, currently curled up on the floor before the couch. He’d been playing a video game - had been playing the game with Jay. Now, Jay had been reading some high school textbooks, and Bryan was playing the game solo.
Bryan was a bit more stocky than Jay and Simon - standing 4’8 and a solid 100 lbs. Not quite chubby, but definitely not a lean kid like Jay. Jay’s large size 12.5 shoes sat beside Bryan’s size 6’s. Simon smirked as he thought about what to do next.
The Chonivac hummed, and Simon pulled up Bryan’s information. He wanted to see how Bryan would look if he got some improvements too. The menu was complex, and Simon’s eyes watered after a few moments of scrolling through it. He made a decision though and started typing in a few commands.
Bryan’s form stirred as the Chronivac’s beam hit him, the programming field activating.
STAGE 1 Commencing…
Simon watched as his shorter friend started to get larger. Bryan’s legs pushed down, thickening as they slid along the carpet. His toes began to push up - thickening and lengthening as Simon watched. Bryan grunted as his chest broadened, his shirt stretching tight before changing - becoming a football jersey, sized large - and then a different jersey - sized XL. His frame bulked out as Bryan’s height grew. He’d been a bit husky before, but now - he was definitely a heavy fed young man.
Simon watched the numbers tick - 5’0”…..5’2”…..5’4”. Bryan’s shoes matched Jay’s in size for a moment - before expanding again, growing larger. Bryan’s body grew longer, his frame now spread out along the bottom of the couch in a sleeping bag, as Jay slumbered on the couch above him. It was obvious that Bryan would now have trouble sleeping on the couch, being 5’8” tall - and pushing just over 200 lbs of bulky thirteen year old, but the changes weren’t stopping. Bryan’s body continued to expand slowly - inching longer and wider, his face growing thicker and fuller as he gained more mass. The numbers ticked higher - 5’9”….5’11”… and stopped at 6’1”.
Bryan’s form was now laid out along the floor, his head and shoulders above one end of the couch - his size 14 EE feet inches past the other end. His tight jersey didn’t hide the thick belly Bryan’s new form now sported. According to the Chronivac, Bryan’s stats were:

Height: 6’1”
Weight: 303lbs
At that point, the Chronivac chimed softly, and reported “STAGE 2 Commencing…”
Bryan’s form shivered, and Simon watched in fascination as small hairs started to poke out of Bryan’s upper lip. His head hair grew shaggier - and then buzzed - as though his hair grew too fast and had to be clipped tight frequently. The gap in his shirt showed a slight growth of hair - thicker down the center - under the belly button, which just barely got covered by the XL jersey. Bryan’s arms and hands grew a slight bit of hair, more on the forearms - but some was noticeable on the back of his hands. Along Bryan’s face, his sideburns decided to develop - growing out - and down the sides of his head, just before his ears - slight, sparse, but obvious.
The Chronivac beeped again, this time signaling completion of its tasks. Simon looked down at the read out. He didn’t quite know what it meant, but he was pretty happy with the results. Bryan’s testosterone index was now 8.7 (a point higher than his own dad’s), but more interestingly, when Simon had tried to alter it to begin with - it had started a ‘puberty percent.’ Simon had kept resetting that - finally putting it in as a manual 0.0.
A noise startled him, and Simon looked around…
