had been walking down the street in her reporter clothes

so she ran to a nearby telephone booth and changed
both her clothes and her appearance.
It was a anthro dragoness in a silver space suited rocker chic outfit
who stepped out of the booth
and waited for the target
to appear.
As soon as Super Monica saw Damon 2's Model A
gangster car
barreling down the road
towards the hidden bomb
Amanda grabbed a nearby dump truck and flipping it
upside down placed
its cargo bed over
the bomb
The gangsters car swerved
the bomb went

and after the dust had cleared
a shaky Damon 2 and Max staggered
out of their car
to thank their saviour
Super Monica glowered at the two
bad guys
"I didn't leave Skull Island just to see criminals get
killed.Remember me evildoer Damon 2 and Max Wiffle,I am
Super Monica and I will see the two of you in jail for your crimes"
Then the masked superheroine flew off and changed back to Amanda Skybolt,ace Freedom Herald reporter
in that telephone booth
