Gloria exited her school bus as she waved to her friends and was going to go inside to call Katie and tell her about Derek and Morgan. As she came inside she saw her parents on the couch watching TV. Gloria took a deep breath because she knew she couldn't keep this a secret from her father any longer, practically half the people in her life that know about the ring except her father.
"Mom, Dad, can I talk to you two about something?" Gloria asked them.
"Sure sweetie, what is it?" Jason asked turning off the TV.
"Well....actually dad, it's something I've been meaning to tell you about for a while, that is both me and mom." Gloria explained.
"Uh....Gloria, honey? Are you sure you want to talk about this now?" Lisa asked looking a little worried.
"Yes mom, we do." Gloria answered looking to her mom.
"Gloria, are you going to tell me you're into girls?" Jason guessed.
"What?! No, why...why would you think that?" Gloria asked blushing.
"Well I've seen how she's always been looking out for your other friends, but she seems to almost always have your back." Jason explained.
"I like her, but not in that way, I mean sure she's got some good muscle on her, I've been to some of her self defense classes to help her work out, and she's got great hair, especially how it fly's in the wind as she goes down the road and that perfect smile...." Gloria rambled for a moment before looking at her parents and clearing her throat.
"But dad, the real truth is this: I have a magic ring that I inherited from Katie. It can change ages and it does work. Mom will even back me up on this, it's real." Gloria explained as her father chuckled a little bit.
"Honey, you're not serious about this are you?" Jason asked looking at his daughter and then looking to his wife who was rubbing her neck like she was embarrassed.
"It is real? Honey, why didn't you tell me this before?" Jason asked.
"Because...well, frankly that thing can be dangerous if someone doesn't use it correctly. I learned that from first hand experience." Lisa admitted.
"First hand....wait, are you telling me that you've used the ring yourself?" Jason asked.
"Yeah and some of those times weren't pretty. If you're not too careful with it you'll think you're actually the age you become in body and mind, but if you just do it in body, then you'll still remember everything from before." Lisa explained to her husband.
"Okay so it's just the four of us that know about this, right? Katie included." Jason asked.
"Well not really dad, Katie, Kellie, Claudia, Claudia's siblings, Mika, her brother Shiro, Ashley, Jennifer, Samantha, Mary Elise, and Mary Elise's sister, Kumiko, and my own friends." Gloria listed off.
"Really? I'm practically last in the loop? Lisa, why didn't you ever tell me about this way before?" Jason asked.
"I...I was worried you would freak out about it. Many people do freak out when they find out about something that can turn them older or younger just by wishing it." Lisa explained.
"But I'm your husband, we tell each other things, you could've told me this!" Jason exclaimed.
Gloria sighed knowing this might get out of control, so an idea suddenly came into her mind as she made a wish.
"I didn't tell you because I knew you would overreact like this!" Lisa yelled as she slowly became younger
"Of course I'm overreacting, you and our daughter's have been hiding something from me you should've told me about a long time ago!" Jason hollered back as he turned back into his late 20s and noticed his wife becoming younger as well.
"Wait a minute...are you.....younger?" Jason asked not believing it for a moment.
"I...I think so and I think we have our daughter to thank for this. Gloria?" The now 25 year old Lisa looked over at her daughter.
"What? I thought the best way for dad to experience the ring was for both you and him to have your ages brought down a little bit." Gloria explained as her parents reached the ages she had intended for them.
Jason had become 19, he still had some muscles on him, but not as much as he would later in life. Lisa on the other hand had become 18 and her bright red hair seemed to glow even brighter than before. Gloria had also decided to have their clothes change with them as they reached the desired ages. Jason had on a white shirt with a leather jacket and ripped pants while Lisa wore a white top with a purple skirt.
"Okay now young lady....oh wow, my voice sounds younger too. Just what do you expect us to do looking like this?" Jason asked noting his younger sounding voice.
"Well let's see: it's Friday night, you two are teenagers, why don't you two go on a little teen date night?" Gloria suggested with a grin.
"I think...." Jason was about to say something when his now young wife interrupted him.
"Jason, sweetie, I wouldn't mind a little night out, we could even have a little....fun." Lisa said whispering the word 'fun' into his ear.
Jason rolled his eyes but didn't want to pass up the opportunity.
"Alright young lady, but don't you think you're still a little young to be home by yourself?" Jason asked.
"Well now I am, but not if I'm....." Gloria said as she wished for herself to physically become older
