Kellie was rather glad that Katie would be the one showing her around the school. She was hoping this would help rekindle their friendship, though whether romance will blossom is uncertain. Kellie wasn't certain if this new version of Katie was still into girls or not. But Kellie was enjoying her day with Katie. Though she only half-listened to what Katie was saying about the school as she still remembered the place, even if it had been about 10 years for her. But she was more interested in seeing how the reality changes had affected the people going here.
First, she met Claudia and Mika. Mika didn't seem a lot different from her memories of the original reality, though she seemed more responsible now. With a free spirit like Kumiko for a twin sister, it was not hard to see that Mika would have to be more responsible to rein her in and keep her from doing something stupid. Claudia was the rather surprising one, being so much more mellow than the feisty girl that Kellie remembered, though perhaps her siblings being younger gave Claudia less reason to be assertive. She was also meeker than Kellie remembered, but she seemed to compliment Mika very well.
Soon after, Kellie met Mika and Kumiko's older brother, Shiro. Unlike the bigamist jerk she knew before, this Shiro was both younger and a lot more accepting of other people, even of Mika's girlfriend. He was also one of the top players on the baseball team, which made the target of much adoration from the other schoolgirls. Chief among them were Ashley and Jennifer, who were also a lot nicer here.
Next, Kellie was introduced to Katie's best friend Samantha and her boyfriend Mike. Personality-wise, the couple were still the same. However, while Mike was still the baseball player that Kellie remembered, Samantha was definitely different. She was much taller, actually an inch taller than Mike, her skin was a darker color than before, her muscles were a lot bigger, and her face had more foreign features. Kellie soon learned that this version of Samantha had a Samoan father and was on the wresting team instead of track. But she still played volleyball and had a good relationship with Mike, who seemed to have a bit of a giantess fetish. Kellie made a mental note to talk with Merlin regarding Samantha's different father when she got back.
Kellie was rather surprised she wasn't introduced to Mary Elise, who she remembered as a close friend. But later, she spotted Mary Elise sitting in the cafeteria with Sebastian, though both were sitting further away from the other students. Kellie noticed they were wearing more black than she remembered, with Mary wearing a thick black sweater. A bit of asking around told her that Mary Elise and Sebastian were quite different in this timeline. Mary Elise wasn't friends with the other girls. In fact, she and Sebastian were rather introverted in this reality, spending more time at their poetry club than hanging out with kids their age. Apparently, they weren't so trusting here as most kids only approached them for tutoring help. Mary Elise was also a bit more defensive as puberty had recently given her an unexpected gift of an expanding bust that she hasn't become comfortable with yet, hence covering herself instead of flaunting her new curves.
Kellie could see her absence in this timeline did cause some big changes. If she were here, Mare Elise would have been able to bond with the other girls more easily. Kellie promised herself to reach out to Mary Elise and help her and Sebastian come out of their shells. Though the school still seemed much the same, even if there were some people she hadn't seen there before. She was pretty sure she'll be seeing more of Lisa's boyfriend Jason later. Kellie was rather curious about the changes to the Turner family.
