"Ok Ashley." The director of the operation said. His voice rang out loud and clear into the test chamber.
"We are going to try and connect you to the internet, and see how that affects you."
"Ok... that sounds... interesting." Ashley said, with only one of her mouths.
"A wire will come out of the wall, connected to our most powerful computer. We believe that once you bring it up to your arm, your arm will evolve a port and connect with it. From there, we will see how it goes." The director said.
"Ok, wire, arm, internet, got it." Ashley said, with each word coming out of a different mouth.
"Ok, the wire is coming out of the wall now." Said the director.
And alas, out the wall came a thick black wire. At the end of it, was this large connector. Ashley took the connector and brought it up to her arm. She touched the tip of it to her wrist.
"Activating evolution sequence." The lab director said.
"Here it comes." thought Ashley.
At first, nothing happened. Then, she felt a tingling sensation in her wrist. All of a sudden, a whole began to form and the connector began to connect with her wrist. Some of the nerves in her wrist then rewired themselves to connect with the connector. All of a sudden, she could "feel" the internet within her. It was hard to describe. It was like she was looking at blank google page without actually looking at a computer. However, she was still able to pay attention to her surroundings due to all her multiple brains.
"Interesting" she said.
Firstly, she decided to search up google translate with one of her brains. She didn't even need to type the word or click anything, it just appeared in the google search bar for a split second and then searched.
"Cool." She thought with all her brains.
Ashley set one of the languages to English and the other to French. All of a sudden her brains began to tingle.
"Ca fait bizarre." She thought.
"Wait. What the heck. Did I just think in french?"
"Hold on, let me try something."
She willed a wikipedia page about America to open and turned it into french.
"Unbelievable," She thought
"Not only did I read that entire wikipedia page in under a second, I could understand every french word."
She willed the wikipedia page to close and opened back up google translate. Then, as fast as she could, she shuffled through all the possible languages, which was pretty fast, as she only dwelled around a millisecond on each language. Before she knew it, she could speak, read, and write 47 languages fluently. She then tried something else. All her other brains had been watching in amazement at this feat, but nonetheless, they were mostly idle. She concentrated, and opened three wikipedia pages at once, using her three brains. To her amazement, she read all three at once, and could remember every word of it.
Ashley got super excited.
Using the combined power of all her brains, she opened as many wikipedia pages as she could, scanning all of the information in each of them into her brain.
Soon, she was an expert on everything on wikipedia, from biology to history. Then she started reading the same wikipedia articles in different languages.
At one point, she was reading the same page in Korean, Japanese, German, Russian, and Spanish at the same time. She needed to go further.
She began to evolve more. Unbeknownst to her, one of her nerves was actually slowly growing out of her wrist and through the wire. When it reached all the way to the computer, it quickly connected to every port it found, and began to absorb parts whole.
Ashley felt a wave of power over her.
Her mind began to fill with numbers and code. She now had one of the most powerful computers in the world connected to her body and at her control.
She began to browse through thousands of sites at once. She downloaded four copies of Fortnite into her brain... or was it the hard drive of the computer... she couldn't tell, and began to play it together with four brains.
The scientists watched with awe as she perfectly maneuvered her squad through the map winning three... four... five.. no... 15 times in a row, before it got bored and quit!
She then hacked the CIA's database and read all of its classified information. Soon she started hacking everything she could find in the world. Soon, a copy of her was on every phone in the entire world. She decided to test her abilities on her own phone. She willed her phone to take pictures, record videos, and open applications from her mind, and it worked.
Ashley was now a digital goddess.
She could send texts from other people's phones. She could see the location of every phone in the entire United States, and pinpoint who was which.
She needed more.
Ashley's consciousness spread the large databases of Google and Amazon. She began to assert her control there as well. Soon she had access to the bank account and private information of every person in the world. Next, she could see through the millions of security cameras around the world connected to computers. She could "sense" people's cars and their general locations through their radios antennas. She could even see live pictures from the Hubble space telescope. She had access to all the technology in the entire world, and then all of sudden, she blacked out.
