Liz now stretched out on the couch as she rested her head on Todd's lap. The girl seemed content as Todd ran his fingers through her wet brown hair. As Todd looked over his remote he smiled. "Think one more change is in order," he thought. Thumbing through the options on the remote he glanced at Liz's mental age.
"Subject is mentally 65 years old," he read. "Subject currently as extensive life and job experience based upon life experience." Smiling Todd punched in a few key strokes and hit the activate button. Slowly he now watched as Liz's mental age began to decrease.
"Whoa," Liz muttered, holding her head. "I....feel weird."
"What is it Liz," Todd asked in faux concern. Liz turned and looked up at Todd, a slight look of concern on her face. "Its, its so weird," she muttered. "I..I can feel myself...getting younger?!?"
Todd looked at Liz as she rubbed her temples. "What do you mean," he asked.
Liz sat up as she looked at Todd. "Its crazy but I can feel myself getting younger," she stated. "I'm losing experience.knowledge. I'm...I'm felling more and more like an 18 year old girl."
Todd narrowed his eyes, he wanted to know every detail of Liz's mental regression. The information she provided would be helpful in further experiments. "Okay Liz tell me everything."
Liz furrowed her brow as she looked at Todd. "It's so strange," she whispered. "I don't feel like an old woman anymore. The picture of me in my mind seems younger. I...I can't remember myself any older than 40 now. My emotions..my experience..my adult..um..confidence...it's vanishing, like smoke."
"Is it painful," Todd asked in genuine concern.
"Umm...no not really," Liz stammered. "It just feels, like weird. not like a bad weird but like weird." Liz paused as she pondered what she was saying. "Like OMG I'm even starting to like talk younger."
Liz giggled as Todd watched her. As Todd watched her she tried to imagine what she usually looked like when she didn't look like a teenager. As she tried to visualize she could only imagine a 30 year old version of herself. The grown woman in her head appeared to be growing younger as she focused. Liz now tried to focus on her work experience, as she did she realized that her experience was vanishing quickly. Anytime she tried to remember something job related it seemed to slip through her fingers and vanish into the ether. Giggling Liz looked at Todd and smiled.
"I'm..um..really happy you invited me over tonight," Liz said, blushing slightly. "I..um was really getting bored at the library. That job may help with tuition but ugh its...so boring."
Todd smirked at Liz as he glanced down at the remote. Carefully he looked at the readout to see that Liz was now mentally 18 years old again. The crotchety old librarian was now completely replaced with a shy, awkward college freshman. "Hey not a problem Liz," Todd smirked. "To be honest I didn't think you would want to hang out with me."
Liz smiled as she blushed slightly. "Well..um..I've seen you at class before," she grinned. "And I like always thought you were..um cute. I'm actually surprised you wanted to hangout with me. I'm such a dork."
"Your not a dork Liz," Todd chuckled. "I mean yeah your shoes are a little old fashioned but your cute. You just need some confidence."
Liz smiled embarrassed as she looked down at her discarded flats. "Ugh they are old fashioned," she thought. Smiling she settled down into Todd's lap sighing contentedly.
Todd grinned as he read the readout on the remote. "Subject is mentally 18 years old," he read. "Subject's physical, emotional, and metal status match. Subject maintains high levels of social awkwardness. Do you wish to alter any further stats on subject or save current status readout."
Todd smiled as he rubbed his chin thoughtfully. Liz no longer remembered being an elderly librarian, now she only remembered being Todd's awkward 18 year old girlfriend, Todd now needed to make a decision. Should he keep Liz his adorable dork of a girlfriend or alter her even more. With a grin Todd now hit a button on the remote.
