The attendant briskly walked off, saying something urgent into her radio. After a while she came back with a determined look in her eye that made it clear that something was going down.
After having wondered around for a bit the officers returned to the stable, not noticing the half-dozen attendants approaching behind them from across the yard. “We’re going to have to ask you a few questions ma’am.” First they produced a handful of photographs of people (now horses of course) who had been spotted entering the stables or riding around nearby, but who had never been seen again. “Have you seen any of these people in here recently?”
“Nope. Never seen any of them in my life” she replied in a not very convincing way.
The officers exchanged looks and asked her again “are you sure ma’am, need I remind you that hindering a police investigation is a serious offence?”
Clearly stalling for time as the other attendants crept forward she pretended to ponder their question “Hmmm… now that you mention it… some of their faces do ring a bell. Umm... NOW!”
With that the burly attendants grabbed the helpless officers and wrestled them to the ground. They were quickly tied up tightly and dragged away to a room at the back of the stables. Several of the horses whinnied in horror as their best chance of escape had seemingly dissipated.
Back in the room, the female attendant stood over the officers who were still squirming around on the floor. “Now, I know just what to do with you.”
