Liz gently rubbed Misfit. The thought passed through her mind to make him a human man, but something about the completely contented way that he lay on the bed made her heart melt. Why take that away from him?
In fact, why not join him, at least for a while. With a few thoughts, she felt the fur push out of her skin even while her body shrank. She willed her fur into a pure inky black, and her body into the embodiemnt of feline grace.
Misfit opened his eyes after the tranformation. Liz caught his shocked expression before he caught himself and went back to a typical feline disinterest. "Cute," he said simply. "You make a much better cat than you do humman."
Liz slinked around Misfit. "You think so? I'm partial to being human. Is there something about this form that's so special?"
Misfit lazily stood on the bed and streched. "I think I can show you a few things. Why don't we go outside?"
Liz followed her cat out the pet door in the back and trotted into the tall grass in the yard. She was amazed by what her senses were telling her, feeling each blade of grass, seeing movment of insects and small animals in the backyard. It was incredible!
The two cats began to sniff at each other, round and around again. Liz felt her blood begin to boil at Misfits scent. She wanted him, badly. A part of her knew that she had to stop this now if she didn't want to go to the next step!
