not take a bath. After all, he had barely done anything yet on his first day, instead, Umbren thought to himself, he should read ahead on some of the times his Lord gave him.
Nodding to himself, Umbren did just that, returning to his small room, jumping onto his bed like he used to when he was a child. Pulling out some of the times from his travel bag, he examined them with great interest as he immediately felt a strange aura come from each of them. Although Umbren could instinctively tell that the tomes themselves were not magical, but that the content within them was arcane.
Opening them up, Umbren noticed that all of the times were written in a strange but familiar tunic language, identical to the runes he saw in his Lord’s infernal palace, but different from any of Marga’s runes.
Although Umbren couldn’t read any of the strange demonic runes, he did find one tome that was written completely in the mortal language.

The tome itself was a basic looking one, a red cover embezzlers with a golden symbol of a pyramid in the center. It looked and felt relatively new, so Umbren didn’t use too much caution when handling it.
Spending the rest of his free time, Umbren made himself comfortable before delving into the book, hoping to get even the basic understanding of blood magic before Marga would come.
Half an hour later, Umbren heard a knock on the door. Saying aloud to come in, he saw Marga, still in her librarian clothing carrying a small stack of books with her wrinkled hands. Heaving them onto the desk she wordlessly gave a deep bow.
