She throws the net on the naked youth. He blinks, and gasps, "No! M-m-y youth, my powers."
"That's right, Agrathyn, you've been stripped of your magical abilities. You're now just a 289 year old man," Yilatod said.
"What?! What are you saying? Speak up!" shouted Agrathyn. He then realized he was naked, "Where's my clothing?"
"You are powerless now, Agrathyn. Why were you spying on us disguised as a fly?" shouts the giant.
"A fly? I'm human, are you daft, giant?"
"Oh, my, this was unexpected," says the witch in a slightly confused tone. "I hadn't considered that if I stripped away his magic, he might become a senile, deaf old man. He probably doesn't even remember he could turn into a fly.
"What did you say? Speak up!" Agrathyn asks, as he struggles in the net to cover his nakedness.
"Unless he's faking senility," you whisper.
Agrathyn turns and glares at you.
Talvonter laughs like thunder, and says, "He's faking he's deaf. He clearly heard you!"
"Hm," said the witch drawing an amulet from inside her dress. Okay, Agrathyn, behold the eye of truth. You cannot take your eyes off it, can you?" She lets it sway like a pendulum.
"N-n-n-o, witch, don't! I-I -uh, cannot stop staring at it-" he stammered.
"Look deep. The the colors swirl drawing you in. You are sleepy, aren't you?"
"S-s-lee-eep-y," he stammers, "So sleepy." His body seems to sag.
"You are going into a deep sleep. Deeper. Deeper. You can only hear my voice, there is no other sound in the world. You must obey my voice," said the witch.
"Obey. Must obey."
"Now why are you here? Why were you spying on us?" asked the giant.
Agrathyn is silent.
The witch sighs, and repeats, "Why were you spying on us, Agrathyn?"
"I was sent," he replies.
"Who sent you?"
"Mustn't say."
"Yes, you must. You must obey. Who sent you to spy on us?" demanded the witch.
You look from Agrathyn to the amulet. It is so pretty, it seems to be swirling like a hypnodisk. You are losing it. The giant's hand covers your vision. You blink.
The giant whispers, "You should know better than to look at a witch's amulet."
Agrathyn is now locked in an iron cage, and dressed in a burlap sackcloth.
"How much time passed? What did he say?"
