Ryan continues to stare into the window, unable to believe what he's seeing, until an arm placed on his shoulder snaps him back to reality. Ryan turns to see who's arm it is, finding the pirate from before standing in front of him, grinning.
"First Mate, what're you looking for out there? Me and the crew were worried you caught something on the sea, what with that blank staring you're doing."
Ryan looks around the room he's in and sees what the pirate means, Ryan isn't in a manor anymore, he's in a tavern. Tables are filled with rugged individuals, most of which are sculling drinks and laughing, it's a room full of pirates. Looking around further, Ryan finds his eyes settle on his own form, he's still wearing the pants the pirate gave him, but otherwise he's completely different. On his chest is an open, light brown vest, exposing most of his chest to the air. His chest itself is completely different, not only does he have muscles to show but a forest of dark black hair coats it. His arms and legs are equally hairy, and he can imagine his pits and pubes are probably the same. Ryan was even certain he had gotten taller, as he was just as big as the pirate captain before him.
"Aye, lad you alright?" The captain asks Ryan, concern showing on his face.
Looking at the captain, a flood of thoughts and emotions hits Ryan. He begins remembering a life, his life, but it doesn't make sense. He was born in a small village, grew up in a family of blacksmiths. He was supposed to follow his family tradition and become a blacksmith himself, but one night Ryan saw the Captain in a tavern, and after a few drinks was a new member of his crew. Days afterwards involved piracy with his captain, downtime being spent in taverns having more intimate interactions with captain and crew.
Ryan shakes his head, this doesn't make sense, does it? No I wasn't born in a village, I wasn't even born in this time, and I'm not a pirate. Or, was it?
