The next morning, Patrick's skin became paler. His voice was changing. It was starting to sound like Micky Mouse, though it was still mostly his own voice.
Patrick also found his feet becoming bigger. The doctor advised that he avoid wearing shoes until his feet stop growing. In addition, Patrick's appetite had gone up, but the trade off was that his metabolism was changing to accommodate a clown centric diet, much like his sister's.
The doctor speculated that it would be a week before the changes were complete. So Patrick's sister, who had already graduated high school and took care of Patrick while their parents were busy, was eagerly awaiting the day she could take her brother to Clown Town, a clown themed Megamall.
Their father, Timothy, was away on business, but had received the news and he was supportive. Although neither of them were carriers of the clown gene, it was always a possibility that one of or both their children would be.
