The light starts to fade, and you hear a crash. The crash was Jerry’s phone falling to the floor and smashing to pieces. You realize that all that is left of the family is their cloths as you fall to your hands and knees. “No, why… I didn’t want this to happen!” You throw the keys against the door as you continue to lament, “I can’t believe I just disintegrated this family! They did not deserve to die!” You slowly start to gather yourself and come to the decision, “No those assholes of parents deserved to die. They were always trying to get us evicted, just so that they could then rent our apartment as well and expand theirs. Although those two boys didn’t deserve this!”
You take a closer look at the cloths and realize that what was lying on the ground were not the cloths that the family was wearing. You also notice that there is only one outfit scattered on the floor in the four spots where the family members had been standing instead of four different outfits. “They aren’t dead”, you yell as you see that Jerry has become a pair of tighty whities, Amy has turned into a pair of black dress pants, Lincoln has become a maroon button-down dress shirt, and Levi has become a solid black necktie.
You grab the keys and quickly gather the Bell family and head into your apartment. As you close the door behind you Keith and Pat begin to sniff at the pile of cloths that you are holding. “Hey, guys I see that you are both curious about the cloths, so I’m just going to tell you.” Keith and Pat both exchange glances and then look back at you. “Guess I haven’t learned how to control this power yet because I just turned the Bell family into these cloths”, you explain as you set the cloths down and open the door back up and pull in the treats and Pat’s uniform.
Pat let’s out a stern bark as if to scold you for dragging even more innocent people into this mess, including a couple of kids. “Yeah, I know this is bad, but I promise you I am going to find a way to control this power”, you apologize.
Pat continues to give to a look of exasperation as if to say, “Yeah, I’ve heard that before.”
Keith walks over to the Bells and starts to lift his leg over Jerry and Amy to pee on and show his dislike for them. You spot him and quickly smack his leg down and scold him, “No, bad Keith! I know you don’t like them, but you will not pee in this apartment just to get a point across!”
You proceed to pick up the Bells and take them into Keith’s closet to hang them up because you figure Keith is not using it now anyway. You also hang up the police uniform before you plop down onto your bed. You were exhausted, and it was hardly even noon. You begin to inspect the keys in your hand as you begin to talk to Keith and Pat who are lying on the floor watching you, “I know I need to find out how to control the keys’ power, but I don’t know the first thing about how to go about doing that. I know that the best way to do so is to just keep using it, probably on some random object so that I don’t risk hurting anyone. Although then I’m worried that I could still accidently do something like set off a bomb that blows up the world!”
You feel a buzzing in your pocket and realize that you are getting a text. You pull out your phone and see that the text is from your and Keith’s friend Sam asking how things are going at the college. “Oh, right we were supposed to sign up for classes. I guess that isn’t happening now.” You quickly sit up in your bed as you remember, “Hey Keith I think I found the solution!” Keith cocks his head as you continue, “I think Sam is the solution! Back in high school he was a wiz at science, and loved running experiments and coming up with hypothesis. He even won some award from the state for one of his experiments!”
You quickly call Sam and wait for him to pick up, “Hey, Sam! I was wondering if you wanted to come over to Keith and I’s apartment. I was thinking we could hangout for a bit and play some games, so what do you say?”
“Uh… yeah sure I am not doing anything today so why not, it sounds like fun! I will head right over”, Sam says as he hangs up.
Excited that you may have found your solution, you wait for half an hour feeding Keith and Pat some of the dog treats to pass the time. Finally, you hear a knock on your door and as you open it your land lord Mr. Huff storms in yelling, “I hear you two are hiding some dogs in hear now where are they!” Mr. Huff looks down and sees Keith and Pat eating dog treats. “I was right! You are hiding dog’s good thing I have called animal control”, Mr. Huff yells as he turns to you. “As for you and your deadbeat friend you are evict”, Mr. Huff was yelling as you panicked and pressed the keys causing him to be enveloped in that bright white light.
