Colin gazed out the window as the van rolled on through. He tried counting stop signs, but he saw four (five counting one mysteriously cut in half). He began noticing changes in the scenery. Palm trees swaying in the breeze, the Alexandro's Tacos his family would go to on occasion, a surf shop, a Baked Bear.... and then it hit him.
This was Lakeside's Beachside District: the spot where tourists and locals alike flocked to explore the rocky shore, catch some rays, go spearfishing, and hang out at Splashopolis theme park (it was more like a carnival, but the sign said theme park).
'Heh, I get my own space AND a trip to the beach, this job is great.' Colin mentally sighed.
Tino pulled over and pulled out a map of the area; Colin and the other guys huddled around it.
"Okay, here's the game plan: Team Uno hits the beach, scavenges any beach bags they come across until we get to the vending machines, then we bust them open and grab as much as we can."
Tino took a deep breath before continuing:
"Team Dos busts into the theme park and grabs, like the chief said, 'Every pretzel, every towel, every damned crumb they can.' From there we both head back to the van and back to the station, comprendo?"
The crew nodded in unison.
"Alright, we got a newbie with us, Colin was it?" Tino asked.
"That's my name." Colin smiled.
Tino smiled at Colin's positive attitude and replied "Right, Colin, you'll be with Team...."
