Kellie sat in the middle of the couch caught in a tug of war between Lisa and Ann who believed they were Kellie's younger sister. She felt weird being in a family squabble when she knew in reality she didn't have any siblings but would try to settle this in the best way she could.
"Kellie, you're gonna go shopping with me later, right? We're gonna have so much fun." Lisa asked pulling Kellie's arm.
"No way Kellie, I want you to come to this medieval art show with me later. Those paintings are going to be wicked." Ann said to Kellie pulling her other arm.
"She doesn't want to see more creepy paintings with you." Lisa said to Ann.
"Yeah, well I'm pretty sure she doesn't have time to shop for some lame clothes with you." Ann said to Lisa.
"Kellie, please?" Lisa begged.
"Please big sis?" Ann begged at the same time.
"ENOUGH!" Kellie shouted having enough of their argument over her.
"God, I come home for a visit and you two are fighting over me like a school crush." Kellie said to them pretending to act like a responsible older sister.
"But we just want to hang out with you." Lisa said.
"Obviously you both want to hang out with me more than the other one. You two do remember that I'm getting married, right? I'm not always going to be around for either of you all the time now, you have to rely on each other sometimes." Kellie said impressing even herself with that remark.
"I don't want to hang out with her." Ann said turning her back to Lisa.
"That's fine because I don't want to hang out with her either." Lisa said turning her back to Ann.
"Why, though? You two are sisters, you love me enough, why can't you just love each other just as much?" Kellie asked them.
"She doesn't respect my art." Ann said.
"She hates my sense of fashion." Lisa said.
"She thinks my music sounds awful." Ann said.
"She doesn't like the movies I watch." Lisa said.
"It's like she hate me!" Ann and Lisa both said at the same time and then looked at each other.
"I....I don't hate you. I've just never liked some of the stuff you do." Ann said to Lisa.
"You could have fooled me. I think you're a great artist, I've just never been a big fan of any of your paintings." Lisa said to her.
"Really? Thanks. If we're being truthful here, I've never liked your fashion sense because all the boys are always attracted to you and never me." Ann confessed.
"Aw sis, you're beautiful to me, no matter how you dress. There are plenty of guys at school who I've heard had a little crush on you." Lisa told her.
"Really? You're not just making this up?" Ann asked.
"Of course not." Lisa said.
Kellie smiled seeing Katie's young mother and aunt finally getting along better with each other.
"There, see? I knew you two could find some middle ground. You know Ann, I think there are some people out there who would love to get a hand on some of your paintings." Kellie said to Ann.
"Yeah. I was thinking about selling some of them, but I don't think anyone would take them." Ann admitted.
"I know a few people who would." Lisa said as Ann smiled back at her.
"Thanks little sis, I know I don't say this often enough. But I do love you." Ann said to her.
"Yeah, I love you too." Lisa said hugging her sister.
Kellie was happy now that Ann and Lisa had settled their differences.
"I wonder how Katie's doing with Gloria?" Kellie thought to herself.
"OH MY GOD!" Gloria shouted when she looked in the mirror after Katie had given her back her ring.
"Mom, are you alright?" Lisa asked Gloria.
"Uh....yes, fine, sweetie. I just....haven't really looked at myself in the mirror lately." Gloria said to Lisa.
Kellie chuckled a little at this knowing what had really just happened. Kellie looked over at Katie and blew her a kiss.
