Ted and Marci Green had been going about their days in Moon Lake as if they’d lived there for their whole lives. Teddy was feeling at home here, and he was getting more and more eager to retire so he and Marci could settle down here.
Currently, they were walking hand in hand down the street towards the diner that they had visited a few days ago to pick up something for dinner.
As they walked down the sidewalk, a pair of teenage girls were walking down the sidewalk in the opposite direction. They were talking to each other as they walked. As they passed by the Greens, Teddy and Marci overheard some of their conversation.
“So you’re sure that this meeting is Friday?” the first girl said.
“Positive Abby,” the second girl said. “It’s supposedly really important. A lot of people are curious as to what it will be about.”
Teddy looked to Marci. “An important meeting, huh?” he asked Marci. “Wonder what the City Council will be discussing...”
