Jeff's head broke the water, and cold air blasted his big green head. He could hear birds singing, and bugs humming over the splash he made leaping out of the water. He flew naked through the air, it felt great. He landed on a big boulder, and started to bask in the warm rays of the suns.
Closing his eyes, Jeff felt his lungs swelling his torso. He felt great. As soon as he was warmed up enough, he would dive back into the water. A bird sung, and then the flap of wings. Realizing he was hungry, Jeff opened his eyes. He saw a robin with red breast and blue feathers. Before he realized it, Jeff's mouth opened and his long tongue flew into the air. The robin squawked as the heavy rubbery wet tongue wrapped around the feathers breaking the first robin of Spring's wings before pulling it back into Jeff's mouth.
The robin was ground against the roof of Jeff's mouth. The squawking stopped, Jeff swallowed feathers, beak, claws and all. It felt good to have something in his belly, after a long hibernation.
