With the summer tourist season really kicking off, Mieni Atoll was receiving lots of vacationers who want to enjoy the tropical archipelago. And plenty of those vacationers were coming from Animalia. It was the starting point for many groups' colony tour, considering it was the first Animalian colony to be established. And there was certainly some big visitors coming, in both size and importance.
Remodeling the cruise ship into the Titanic 2.X was getting closer to completion. But while cruising was fun, it wasn't the fastest way to get from place to place. As such, planes were still the best option for getting to Mieni Atoll. The refurbished 747 prototype had been completed and was ready for its maiden flight. The jet's insides had been completely reworked. Instead of three decks designed for normal-sized passengers, there was now one deck designed for the larger Animalians, particularly Dinotopians. There weren't that many perks, luxuries having to be traded for passenger space. But it was still capable of carrying several saurian passengers that wouldn't be able to easily fit in other planes.
The passengers contained many of the more prominent Dinotopians, including Tyra, Rex, Andrew, Jen, Norrie, Rachel, Sherry, Regina, Annie, Ralph, and Jake. Of course, the two most prominent passengers were the newlywed Jeremy and Heather. Heather was mildly annoyed that their honeymoon had so many people coming along, but she was also relieved to finally be able to leave Lyre after being under probation for so long. But of course, they weren't the only people of note coming to Mieni Atoll.
A more conventional airliner was bringing other Animalians of note. Most prominently were Animalia Ambassadoria, starting their colony tour at Mieni Atoll. Of course, their tour might not be in the same order as everyone else's but they were at least starting here. And there were more coming than last time, what with JC and Pauline uplifted. They were excited to see what all had changed at Mieni Atoll since they were last there, such as where the Dinotopians will be accommodated.
But that wasn't all. Also starting their colony tour were the Five Elements. As had been promised, they were seeing the other colonies of Animalia. They were all looking forward to this trip, having spent a large part of their years trapped in one place. Even the moody Muxing showed some excitement, though she did give the other passengers wary looks occasionally. Hopefully being around in the world will broaden her opinions of people.
There was also the noted presence of Countess Irena and her current interest, Tyler. Irena was part of Heather and Jeremy's colony tour, which would eventually take them to Skull Island which was in her family's name. Tyler wasn't sure how serious Irena was interested in him, but he had to be crazy to pass up a world tour with an attractive she-goat like her. But his new celebrity status didn't completely go to his head. He insisted on bringing his own friends, Kyle and Richard, with him. They might be riding on his coattails right now, but they'll probably get some attention before their vacation is over.
As the planes headed across the Pacific ocean to the archipelago, excitement was rising high. This wasn't going to be a trip to forget.
