With the first of July being on a Sunday, it was deemed a good time to head to New Zerzura. Fortunately it was a good idea to see Maelewano's version of the Lion King, and it was good, even if it was quite different from both Broadway's version and Disney's version.

When they arrived by new ATVs that were designed specifically for Animalians by Kawasaki, they were surprised that they had opened excavated the landslide from Ahmose II's tomb during the final part of the construction of the construction for New Zerzura. What was even more surprising was that they had opened the tomb two days before their arrival.
"Why did you wait until two days after opening the tomb before going in?" asked Malice, confused.
"Because excavating tombs with preserved bodies is dangerous." answered Melbourne, "When you open a tomb with bodies in it, you have to open the door, then leave it for two days so the bad air will come out and good air will come in. Also, ancient mummies and their belongings are petri dishes for deadly molds and bacteria. Even 3 millennia old germs can still kill you if they can get in your body. Another precaution that we do is that guys never shave while excavating tombs."

One unexpected thing that was found at New Zerzura was the GGAC, though they were able to explain that they helped get New Zerzura off the ground, both the Divine Council and the colony in general. They accomplished both through the use of their books, mainly the Pharaonic Pantheon chapter in Jerry's "Deities and Demigods" book, and Tom's own "Sandstorm" book. Though the newest members weren't spending a lot of time outdoors, at least in daylight.

During the excavation/"plundering" of Ahmose II's tomb, it was determined that he was not only buried with the standard burial goods often buried in pharaoh's tombs (at least according to King Tut's Tomb), he was also buried with his war chariot, weapons and armor. Inside his tomb were all the important scenes of his life, from the Hyksos Expunging (as it was now known) to his death.

New Zerzura itself was also quite interesting, mainly because of the uplifted Animalians tied to the Egyptian gods interacting with humans normally, though this was partly because the intention was to base it partly off of the videogame Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy, though the main reason was because of the historically accurate ancient Egyptian clothing that both humans of the colony proper and uplifted/converted Animalians wore.
Another interesting thing was the hiding of modern technology in seemingly ancient works. For example, there were several obelisks that looked to be authentic but were hiding modern electronic jamming technology mainly because of the number of reptile Animalians who spent the morning sunbathing/warming up while nearly naked and they didn't want drones getting "candid shots" of them for the weenies.
