The remote wasn't working I decided to manually turn off the cable and turned on my XBox, but those controllers didn't work either. I headed upstairs to check if we had any batteries left. We had a couple so I put them in, to turn on my XBox. I pressed and held onto the center button to make sure I was actually turning it on.
The strangest thing happened. It turned something on but not the XBox, the television. I was very confused so I walked over to the T.V remote to see if it still didn't work. I pressed the power button and it turned on the XBox. The controllers were messed up since they seemed to have swapped functions. I was curious as to how this could have happened, then it hit me.
I did this. I was even more curious about what happened. It happened because I thought I had telekinesis but I must have something totally different. I decided to test if I could change something between two objects so I tested it on my shoes and my dad's. His feet were larger so I wanted to test if I could make his shoes my size and my shoes his size. I slowly closed my eyes and thought of my small size 8 tennis shoes and growing to my dad's size 12 work boots. I looked down before me and saw both shoes change right before my eyes. I tried on my dad's now shrunken work boots. I slipped them on and to my disbelief, they were a perfect fit.
I wanted to see what else I could do with powers like this.
The T.V was still on and I saw the news reporter talking about something I could care less about. My curiosity struck me. I closed my eyes as I thought about my boring brown eyes and the reporter's mysterious hazel green eyes, a color I could have wished were my eyes. I opened them and my surrounding was the same but something felt different. I was still in my house but it didn't look quite like it, the color seemed off. I ran up my stairs again but this time to the bathroom to look into the mirror and to what I observed my eyes were exactly like the news reporters.
I now know what power I have and I'm not afraid of the consequences that come along with it. But a question in my head pops up, "Who's trait would I swap with next?"
