"Don't worry we'll take good care of you." says the farmer as he pulls you along.
"I still can't believe that you'd turn yourself into a cow for us!" exclaims his wife.
You want to tell them that your magic backfired but realize that it would be a bad idea to let your subjects find out that their queen isn't actually as all powerful as she claims.
You can't really back out of this now, so instead you decide to play along and say "A good Queen would never ignore the plight of her people! I will fill in as a milking cow until you can find a replacement. I am your queen afterall."
They look at you and seem moved by your short impromptu speech.
The farmer and his wife tell you that they truly admire your selflessness and assure you that they will treat you the best they can during your stay at their farm, as they continue to guide you along.
They tell every person they meet on their way back about what you did and how much you care about your citizens.
This sadly shatters any hope of getting out of this without getting milked by simply transforming them once you reach the farm.
You hear the couple start to talk about what to do once they are back at the farm after you've left the city "We'll be back up on our feet again in no time once the people hear that they can buy the milk of our powerfull queen from us!" says the farmer giddily.
"We should start milking her directly after getting home!" replies his wife happily.
He calms her down and says "We should let her get settled in a little before we do anything. She is still new to all this and we don't want to stress her afterall." He gently pets your head as he tells his wife "I can start milking her tomorrow morning and directly sell her fresh milk at the market."
His wife seems happy with that and starts talking about how they should advertise your milk by telling everyone the story of how their great selfless queen turned herself into a cow to help them.
You know everyone will probably have heard by tomorrow that you've turned yourself into a cow to help two peasants.
Rumores spread fast and there were more than enough people there at the time to spread it.
The only consolation is that you will probably have the reputation of a saint after this.
A saint that turned herself into livestock.
You mull these thoughts over for a few more minutes before you notice that you've almost arrived.
You see a small but well kept farm with strong fences, a big farmhouse and a clean looking barn.
The farmer turns to you and tells you happily "Im sure you'll like our farm, we'll feed you the best grass, groom you daily and give you the best stall in the barn! And don't worry we cleaned out the entire barn after the plague got our cows. You won't be able to find even a spot of dirt in your new stall!" He actually looks as proud as a nobleman talking to you about his luxurious guesthouse.
Your small group finally reaches the gate, where the couple stops for a moment to share a few words, before the farmers wife leaves
for their house to prepare supper.
You almost follow her but the farmer leads you in a different direction.
"I'll make sure that your stay here will feel more like a vacation than anything else." Is what he says but sleeping in a barn as chattel isn't really how you would imagine your dream vacation to go.
It only takes a few more meters to reach the barn door.
The farmer leaves you for a moment to open the door before leading you inside.
You start to hear a few noises once he does.
You look around and notice a bull standing in one of the stalls loking at you.
You immediately turn to the farmer and ask "Uh... didn't you say that all of your cows died?"
"Eh?" He turns in the direction you were looking and realizes what you were talking about "Oh! The you mean the bull. Yes he survived the plague, but bulls sadly aren't worth that much at the moment, and we can't really milk a bull." He stops form a moment before continuing "Well we could but THAT isn't worth that much either." Considering that that may be related to all those would be 'heroes' you've been transforming is somewhat frustrating.
"Anyway, here we are!" Says the farmer directing you to a stall at the back of the barn.
You see that this stall is particularly well taken care of, much more spacious, stocked with lots of hay, has an entire wall of dedicated grooming tools next to it and has a plaque that reads 'PRINCESS' at the gate. "This one used to hold my most prized dairy cow, i can assure you that you won't find anything better for miles." He almost sounds smug as he says that.
He opens the gate, leading you into your new temporary home.
"Now we just have to..."
