"Hey Dan, I'm having a great time! Let's go check out the rides!" you tell your friend.
"Sure Billy, whatever you want." Dan says. You and Dan and his friends leave the bathroom and start walking towards the rides. As you walk down the main path, something feels off, but you can't tell what. It sounds like Dan is talking about you to his friends; also, a lot of the people walking toward you seem surprised. Some of them are waving at you, but others are pointing and staring. Confused, you wave back to them. You and your friends walk over to the Scrambler and get in line. When you reach the front of the line, the ride operator says something a little strange.
"This we can accommodate pets and their owners on the scrambler. Hop on into this seat, Pooch." He says, pointing at you. Confused you climb into the car with your friends. The scrambler car fit 10 people, so besides you and Dan and your friends, there was a little girl and her mom, A couple of college age boys, and a couple of teenage girls sitting in your car. As you sat down next to one of the teen girls, the little girl said, "Mommy! look, a puppy! Can I have a puppy? Mom? Please?"
The girl next to you looked away from her friends that she was chatting with and looked at you. She jumped in her seat, surprised. "Wow! That's really cool! I like your costume and makeup a lot!" she said. "You are pretty confident to walk around the fair like that!"
"Thanks," you say, rather confused. "I'm not really sure what you're talking about.
"Oh, you're silly," she said. "But I really think your dog makeup is cute.
"What do you mean?" you ask her again. A buzzer sounds and the ride starts up.
"Look silly," she says, pointing to the mirrored support at the middle of the ride. Your car spins around and you are now facing the mirror. Looking at it you see that you are body painted head to toe as a dog. "Not many people are brave enough to walk around in nothing but body paint!" she said.
"Wha....Whaaat?... But I don't know how this happened. I don't remember this." You tell her. "I think someone did this to me! I think someone turned me into a dog!"
"Have you tried the photobooth?" the girl asked you. "I have seen people go in normally, but when they walk out, they are completely transformed. I think either they can choose it for themselves, or if someone outside pays, they can change the person inside. Sometimes the changes last for a minute but sometimes I've seen people changed for a lot longer."
"Well I did try the photobooth, but I didn't choose any...." your voice drifts off as you realize what happened. "Dan, when I get off this ride, I'm gonna kill you!" you yell at him.
"Down boy!" says Dan, pushing the number 3 and the white button.
Turning to the girl, you start to say, "Dan did this to me. Is there any way I can get back to normal? I can't stay like this. I ruff ruff, no what's going, ruff, on? Dan pushes the 5 on his remote, changing your mind even more. You start to lose awareness of the situation, slipping into the mind of a dog. "I RUFF you," you tell her. Then, without realizing why, you lean over and give her a big lick on her lips.
"Good boy," she says. "You'll be ok.... after a while."
"Rufff!" you bark, and you lean over and lovingly (for a dog) lick her cheek. "Please, woof, help me. I can't resist this feeling!"
Dan pushes 10 on his remote. You feel a tingling in your neck as you start to lose all of your human consciousness. "Try to enjoy it." The girl tells you. "Fighting it won't make it any better. For what it's worth, you're pretty cute as a dog!"
"Wow, she thinks I'm cute" is the last thing you think as your mind changes over to the consciousness of a dog. As the ride spins around, you hang your head over the side, feeling the wind in your face. The girl leans over and scratches your head. "Good boy!" she tells you. You couldn't be happier; this is the best day of your life.
