Beth raised his eyes, and saw a face that looked familiar. It was the old lady who had started the innocent human girl Beth on her career of transformation and corruption.
"Well" said the old lady "You were certainly corrupted in a hurry! Evil and stupid! Such a disappointment."
Beth tried to saw "Please change me back" but all that came out was lowing.
The old lady rolled her eyes. "I don't see why. You left that poor hero a sow! Mind you, she's much happier as a sow than she ever was as a hero, but you still should have asked. Your days as the elven queen are done, I fear."
"What are you going to do?" said Beth, who found her power of speech restored.
"That's up to you, really" the old lady smiled "I can you make you a bull in mind and spirit as well as body, and you can live out your life in this farmyard. Or I can put you back as the original Beth where we started, as if you had never encountered me at all. Or I can make you the original Beth but keep you here, but you'd be human, and the elves in this kingdom don't have much regard for humans I do assure you. Or, since judging by the waves of satisfaction coming from your cow friend, you seem to be a competent stud, I suppose I could make you into my minotaur bodyguard slash lover."
