You bend down to pick up the curious shape on the ground to discover it to be one of the strangest stones you have seen. Not that the colors were very special - it mainly consisted of bluish grey and dull brown - just like the stones around it that you nearly missed it. However, the pattern on it was what caught your eye. It was a beautiful and chaotic swirl of the two colors, separate until they blend a little off center. The smooth flat surface and the triangular shape also suggested to you that this would be the perfect skipping stone, but it would be a waste to toss such a cool looking stone into the water.
After admiring it for a few seconds, you put the stone in your pocket to take it home. As you continue walking down the tranquil forested path with your hands in your pockets your thoughts start to drift away.
