After a brief moment of staring astounded at how surreal the situation seemed, Ray turned ecstatic as he realized he had a chance to redeem his grades and stay in college. "Sweet, I know exactly what to study!" He pushed away the little guilt he felt that he might be a cheater, and instead promised himself to take advantage of this golden opportunity and to be honest for the rest of his schooling. After an hour of cramming, he literally had almost everything down to a point. Ray was an excellent crammer after all. Yes, he had lost all his hard earned muscle in the time reversal, and his body was totally out of shape again, but he thought it was more than worth it, as he can work back into shape anyways. As he plopped onto his bed recapping the last few details, something fell out of his bed sheets onto the floor. It was the Stone! This felt surreal. Things began to click in Ray's mind as he tentatively reached for the stone on the carpet. "So, I was holding the stone when I wished to be back to this moment." He thought as he picked it up. "So there is a good chance that this is a wishing stone. I want to try it out now, but the wishes may be... limited." After a second of pondering Ray glanced again at the stone in his hand. He opened his mouth to speak. "I wish I knew the limitations and extent of the power of this stone." He was pretty proud of that wish, since it served as a test of whether or not the item really is magical, and if it did work, it would give him useful information in case the number of wishes are limited. What happened was... Nothing. At all. After a few seconds of waiting, Ray became disappointed. "It was the only item that came with me from the future. I figured it had something to do with the time travel. Uh oh, what if that was the one wish and that is all?" He shook the thoughts out of his head and decided to ponder it logically. "Maybe it charges over time. Maybe it needs sunlight? Maybe it only changes time. There is tons of time to test it out. Besides, if that really was the only wish, I think I made a pretty good one. No regrets."
After the test, of which Ray was confident he had passed, he decided to test several of his theories.
