Because August was often considered the beginning of the End of Summer, there was a lot going on. Both SAMAS, A-BC, and UFC-A were considered the final events before school started, But fortunately there was a lot to do later in the year.
Amos, Esteban, Buford, Aleta, and the Five Elements were introduced to Animalia's Travel Book of Events. This new thing, which was both a travel book and a list of regular events in Animalia and what goes on in those events. While it was mostly available for tourists at the Great Hall, they were considered mandatory handouts to help Animalia's newest members to help them understand what was going on.

While everyone was a little disappointed that the original winners from last year's IAC weren't competing, there was still plenty of new blood that there wasn't too much disappointment.
One of the more surprising, last-minute entries that made it into the tournament proper was none other than Lord Chumlee. Apparently it was true that not a lot of people took him seriously due to him being a dodo, and the fact that movies and television shows did nothing to improve the dodo's reputation about being both crazy and stupid. This kind of frustration was motivating him to do both martial arts and weightlifting. Because of how effective the results were, there was a new rumor going around that he was a direct descendant of ancient Celts that lived in Great Britain before the arrival of the Romans.
One that was really surprising was how Rockwall was the only rabbit Animalian in the Super Heavyweight Division, and how, while he didn't win the competition overall, he did win the title of A-BC Rookie of the Year. That didn't really matter to either Bunni or Owen, because Rockwall was already proving himself to be a great dad for Owen.
While Cammy wasn't able to take part in the competition, she was able to wow the crowd by doing a front chest spread while supporting Stuart and Marvin (not the wolf or zebra) for a whole minute.

The official Opening/Handing Over Ceremony of Skull Island to the Aquatic Dinotopians was scheduled to be the last weekend in August, but School was already starting at WSA. Fortunately, Sophie and Roland were able to get permission slips to attend the opening, and Animalia Ambassadoria was able to count on them to cover the ceremony. They were also able to learn about who was wanting to be a dunkleosteus Dinotopian. Danielle, as her paperwork confirmed, had severe dental issues her whole life. When Danielle was finally a dunkleosteus Dinotopian, one of her first tests was to literally chomp an iron beam in half. While it took her a few bites instead of just one, it did confirm that Dunkleosteus did regurgitate the things they couldn't digest, but the result was not for the faint of heart to watch.
