Time was pf the essence, so Mark cut and pasted Claire's simian profile into Tony's profile, and then started to scroll up the gorilla's mass. Unfortunately, he and Tony failed to notice that Tony's junk kept shrinking beyond the smaller gorilla's tackle, as his now black furred brother took a running leap over the enclosure and into the gorilla habitat.
Neither had noticed that Rudy had put Claire into heat, and Toni now a giant 800lb female gorilla suddenly paused as she approached the three gorillas. Toni caught a whiff of the silver back, and felt wetness in her loins. From outside the enclosure Mark only saw the backside of his gorilla brother pause before the two smaller males that were flanking Claire.
"Excuse me, son, what have you got there?" asked an elderly man tapping on the Chronivac keyboard. Mark looked down in horror to see that the Tony's profile now was locked in animal instinct mode.
"You know someone stole my son's laptop, and it looks alot like that!" said the senile man grabbing the Chronivac and yanking it out of Mark's hands.
Mark easily caught up with the fleeing elder, but the wiry guy held tight to the chronivac.
A security guard came up to the two to see what was the matter, and Mark explained the geezer had grabbed his -uh, computer.
"It's my son's computer, it was stolen yesterday."
"What makes you think that this computer is your son's?" the officer asked.
"Because it is. What would a kid being doing with a fancy computer if he didn't steal it?"
"Lotsa kids have computers, Mister?"
"Smith. Doctor Zachary Smith, and I need this computer. I need it to set things right with the Jupiter Two...poor, poor Will Robinson..."
"Okay, Doctor Smith, hand me the nice computer, okay?" says the officer reaching into his leather belt pouch, and pulling out a tranquilizer dart. Smith turns away, and the officer jabs him in the butt with the dart. "We aren't s'pose to tranq civilians, but with the stuff in this dart, they never remember what happened, and it makes it easier to control loonies like this. Here take your computer and get going."
"Thanks." Mark grabs the chronivac and walks back to the gorilla enclosure. Another officer is blocking his way. He's about 150 yards from the gorillas.
"Hey, I want to go see the gorillas," Mark explains, "I'm doing a report on them..."
"Sorry, kid but it's standard policy to keep humans away when the gorillas are mating. You can watch from the mirrored observation tower over there," she says pointing.
"Mating?"
"Yeah, Toni the new giant female ape is showing Burt and Ernie a really good time. The way the males have been protecting Claire, I think they already got her pregnant. And the way Toni is going at it, we'll have a litter of baby gorillas in a year."
"Gulp." Mark flipped open the chronivac and saw his mistake. Tony was now a female gorilla in heat, and thanks to "Dr. Smith", Tony's conscious human mind was disconnected from the ape brain now controlling his body, but Tony was still fully conscious of what was happening to him. Mark quivered thinking what Tony would do to him, but relaxed as he remembered the amnesia feature of the chronivac. Of well, he might as well get a good view. So he headed to the observation deck.
