As the trio of friends Sara, Vect, and Jack made their way from the Thieves School over to the Warrior's Way training school, they chatted about what they specifically wanted to learn.
"I'm hoping to eventually get to be a knight after I'm done here," stated Jack confidently.
"But knights are supposed to be all noble and stuff," said Vect, his brow furrowed in confusion, "Why did you join the thieves school?"
"How else am i to get the funds to get at least one year of the Nobles College," Jack laughed.
"I'm wanting to get some archery training for myself," said Vect.
"Oh gods, please tell me you aren't going to be one of those stereotypical archer elves. You are better than that," declared Jack.
"Why is that a bad thing? The first mistake is letting your opponent get into melee to begin with," argued Vect.
"Aggghh! You're hopeless Vect, physical combat is so much more personal. Songs aren't sung about the archer. What about you Sara?"
"I'm just wanting to get some skills in personal defense besides just a dagger. Maybe a rapier or a short sword at least," said Sara shyly.
"SEE? Sara knows what's up."
"Oh shut up Jack were here."
The trio gazed up at the large building that, from above would have resembled a large colosseum. As the 3 entered, they saw the registration desk with one worker attending a very petite girl who was visibly upset.
"But are you sure that there are no other options," asked the girl in a distressed tone.
"Sorry but as I've said before, all most all the classes are full at the moment. The Barbarian Training Camp is the only one with open positions," replied the man at the desk in a very annoyed tone. He glanced over the girl's shoulder to see the trio enter.
"Hello, we would like to regis-"
"Sorry all full," interrupted the man.
"But you can't be," said Jack, anger creeping into his voice. "The year just started."
"Yeah, and Warrior's Way is popular this year. Only class available is the Barbarian Training Camp. And that's because almost no one wants to take it."
"Why is that," asked Sara cautiously.
"Because it's the most difficult and demanding course there is. Just getting to the site is a journey."
"Its not here?" Vect raised an eyebrow.
"Its to the north. One week of travel by airship, then 2 more weeks of travel through the highlands to reach it. Many back down from the journey alone. Weeds out the weakest see?"
"And there are really no other classes available?"
Shaking his head, obviously getting frustrated with answering the same question, "none, your only options are: 1. Settle for some other school 2. Wait and try again next year to get the class you want or 3. Go to the Barbarian class."
Deliberating, for a few moments amongst themselves, the girl looking in deep thought herself, all turned to the worker and said;
