The next morning I was up early and downstairs eating when Mary came downstairs visibly upset.
"Mom! My boobs are still shrinking!" said Mary. "They are practically gone!"
"Why don't you stay home from school today?" said Mom. "I will take you to the doctor to make sure nothing is wrong."
The thought startled me.

I hadn't considered that. I decided that tonight I'd start changing her back to the way she was. As I was leaving for school, Mom asked me to get Mary's homework from her teachers. I agreed, feeling a little guilty now.
What if the medallion was really making her sick?
I spent the day preoccupied with what the doctor was going to find out.
